I had a wonderful stay at Pingyao Ancient City Xinhaosheng Hotel in April 2024. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and my room was upgraded. The room was spacious and clean. I especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the hotel courtyard. Overall, I highly recommend your hotel to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning in the future. A very bad experience. First: The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city. You can only walk into the ancient city, which is about 1.1 kilometers. Sightseeing electric vehicles are not used. I saw many homestays on the road riding electric vehicles to help pull luggage, but this store refused after I made a clear request, so it is not recommended for those with a lot of luggage or who don’t want to carry a bag for 20 minutes. Second: The hotel has poor sound insulation. It is on the first floor, and people outside can hear their voices very clearly. The homestay has a travel photography business, so people will take pictures outside the door early in the morning, which is particularly affecting people’s rest, so the sleep quality is not good. It is not recommended for travelers with shallow sleep. Third: The water in the toilet in the room is very small, and taking a shower is particularly torturous. The water from the faucet is also very small. You can see the pictures for details. It is not recommended for female friends who need to take a shower at night, especially for washing their hair. Fourth: There is no bottled drinking water in the room, no napkins, only toilet paper, and a dirty-looking kettle filled with water is placed on the windowsill. I don’t know if it is for people to drink. We can only buy a few bottles of water from the supermarket outside, so it is not recommended for people who don’t want to drink water from unknown sources. Fifth: The most outrageous thing is that there is an unknown red underwear in the cabinet of the room, which is photographed in the picture. I can swear that if this underwear belongs to any of the people staying here, I will be poor for life. And for some reason, there are false eyelashes on the bed (I didn’t take a picture of the false eyelashes, it was too disgusting and I just threw them away). I would like to ask if the hotel has done any cleaning and checking for lost items after the previous batch of guests checked out? Therefore, it is especially not recommended for travelers with mysophobia to stay here! Finally, please put away your arrogance. Since you make money from tourists, there are a lot of people who can afford to stay in a room for more than 800 yuan a night in the peak season, but when doing business, please don’t treat tourists as fish to be slaughtered.
