Hotel Ambica Sea Green

I visited with my family and in laws from 26Jan to 28Jan Ambica Sea green was very nice. location 10/10 sea view room was awesome. there receptionist Miss Pushpa was too good they provide us early checkin as I was travelling from Hyderabad. My children enjoyed the stay there. staff was very cooperative and service was too good and prompt. Food was fabulous and they allow our complimentary breakfast in our room too as my parents were too tired to go to the restaurant. Just a suggestion if they can ***age Swimming Pool too than it will be a great experience. Will visit them again for sure

Stayed in a premium room for a day. Check-in was really quick but the rooms are pathetic and stinking. The chair in the room is full of dust. The kettle has hair inside. Duvet has blood stains. The pillow was found very dirty. Face towels provided in the washroom were very dirty and full of stains, provided used face towels. Even bath towels don't smell fresh. WC is in the worst condition where they left half cleaned. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had a poor experience on a previous visit. I posted a detailed telling of that but the ***agement of the hotel had got back apologizing and requesting for a chance to amend things. Which I gave. We visited again and I must say that the attention and care was much better and things have improved. It's not wrong to make mistakes but working towards correcting them is something essential. And those who run Ambica seem to have that quality. Must visit for ambience, care, taste of food.

We visited on 19 May. A family of four and a child. We went to the restaurant on 2nd floor. We were given a really wonderful treatment. Please read as sarcasm. There was one ***ager and two busboys. Everyone was dressed in a suit so I really didn't who was actually serving. We stood there for few minutes and I was confused whether I should stay or leave. My little one was eagerly watching and one of the staff almost pushed her. Can't understand how a cute kid is invisible. I can understand *busy days* at restaurants, but I have never been treated so miserably at a place which is supposedly one of repute, at least by its appearance, aspiration or promise. They could have directed us to wait in the lobby, given a bit of respect to at least the 70 year old father or bit of courtesy to the ladies or at least an ounce of care for the three year child. But no. Their faces, their rush, their deliberate ignoring of us, all of it seemed like hoping we will vanish. We did vanish anyway. We left since we had never been treated like that at any hotel in my 43 years of life. At the lobby reception I left some feedback. The person gave me the same sullen look as if saying, "Can't you see we are busy?" He took up the landline, pretending to do something, but there was no sorry or please wait or anything at all. In fact, he eyed, stared at, us all the way till we left the premises. I'm not even sure why. That last act was rather eerie. I mean, you're busy, you're discourteous, you're unable to apologize, but why throw me look till I left, as if intimidating me and my family. They, believe me, need a LOT OF TRAINING in handling customers on a busy day. Or any other day. You can burn money behind a hotel but you can't exhibit finesse. That one comes from what MasterCard Ad says about "things money can't buy". They try to show themselves sophisticated, but in the end, you'd be better treated if you went to a Dhaba. I can write pages but will stop here. Writing even this much, for these guys, has been a waste of precious time. Because I'm pretty sure, they won't learn from feedback. People who ignore a three year old child and can't offer her a place to even sit, are unfit to govern anything. They cannot improve. We are never visiting this place again and my advise to everyone is also not do. Fake people, fake hospitality. All pretence. Put them under stress and the real talent, or the lack of it, falls out of the closet, like a hidden skeleton.

located just near the beach, the higher rooms gives a full view of the beach. room size and service is good. breakfast if also good. checkin was smooth and so was the checkout. cleanness was good. overall good

The hotel is located right at the beach road providing a good view of the sea. The room are decently maintained. The room service for food was pretty fast and the food was tasty. The staffs were quite cordial and well behaved. The best part is that there are doors connecting side-by-side rooms making is very suitable for two close families travelling together. As for us, my brother and my family travelled together thus we requested the hotel to unlock the door in between. That made two rooms interconnected.

Ambica Sea Green's location is no doubt a high point and a USP for them,the very reason why I choose this place. All the museums are a stone's throw from here. Also Ramkrishna Beach is 2 kms and can be easily walked.The beach in-front of the hotel (Palm beach) is far better than dirty RK beach. Coming to food,their buffet breakfast was sumptuous,tasty,fresh,filling with a wide variety of options.We didn't feel hungry till 3PM after having that heavy breakfast. Overall their food quality is quite good and since the hotel position is premium,food price is also on the higher side. What this hotel lacks is hospitality and room service. Room cleanliness is not at par with the charge which is quite high. In spite of taking full charge of 3 adults they will arrange a floor mattress for third person and 2 single beds hence couples travelling with small kids should speak clearly with ***agement before booking.They provided 3 small mineral water bottles and every 2hrs we had to call room service to bring in water which was not a very good experience specially since house keeping staff are all telegu speaking and dont understand Hindi/Eng. If you want 1 litre mineral water bottles,it would be chargeable. Rooms are also quite small and the view of sea is not premium from the standard rooms as it offers a sideways view. Still overall since the location was right on the beach it has its own usefulness but there are plenty of sea facing flats in Vizag which I will definitely try next time.
