Search no more! If you love peace, quiet, beautiful gardens and antiques, this place will delight you. Many of the rooms are more suites than rooms, we stayed in La Rose which was beautifully appointed and our children had La Mansarde and La Corte, all beautiful and confortable. The house is filled with antiques and Elena, the owner, is obviously someone with exquisite taste. Her attention to detail is second to none. I loved the pool furniture, the little secluded areas in the garden where you can retreat to read a book, the patio where breakfast is served, the little linen napkins and the homely feel of this amazing property. Staff is wonderful and eager to make your stay enjoyable. Manuela greeted us warmly and was ever so helpful, booking perfect restaurants for us on two occasions. Breakfast is a treat and Olena was so adorable and helpful, she is a great asset to this place. I can’t wait to go back and explore the region a little more. Parma happened to be our favorite city in Emilia Romagna. Well done to all the staff and to Elena for making this place a haven!

I have been visiting Porporano nearly every year for 7 years. I make a special trip just to see Elena, her beautiful family, and the most magical property in the whole region. Elena has the golden touch. Everything she does is jewel-like. Her gardens, her cooking, her charming breakfast, all the details in the rooms, the interior decor, everything. It is an absolute gem of a place with a beautiful pool and area to have breakfast outside. The ultimate in charm and elegance.

Everything was fantastic. So clean, new room with new bathroom. No elevator so stairs are required. Lots of parking and 10 minute car drive into heart of Parma. Would highly recommend this quaint B&B. The outside garden is where breakfast is eaten and allowed for a serene and relaxing morning.

We stayed here for a few nights on a girls trip through Italy and LOVED it. The Villa is adorable and so charming. We spent afternoons at the amazing pool and gardens drinking local wine and eating ice cream. Manu and the other staff were all amazing, so sweet, and always helpful. Manu made reservations for us each night for dinner at local spots that were delicious and always so welcoming! The rooms were adorable (we had 2 for 4 of us). All unique, well designed, clean, and charming yet updated! The air conditioning worked great which was huge given the heat that time of year. The Villa has been restored beautifully. The breakfast was incredible! We enjoyed eating the freshly made breads, pastries, pancakes and of course local Parma cheese and fruits every morning on the patio. Overall we had an incredible stay and was one of the highlights of our trip! The only downside was we had hoped to a cooking class which was how we found the place but understood that it didn’t work out this trip so we will just have to come back!

I can't say enough how wonderful this place is. The house and gardens are beautiful and the pool lovely. The breakfast was excellent with homemade foods and lovely surroundings on the terrace. Bed was very comfortable. I would happily have stayed for a very long time and will definitly be back.

We were looking for a place to stop on our way home to Switzerland from southern Italy. That was our luck - we found a wonderful, exceptionally aesthetic place. The house and the property are true jewels. It is a place that invites you to just let go and enjoy your time. The hostess, Elena, is very welcoming and conveys a good atmosphere. She helps you with advice - and prepares a wonderful breakfast for the guests. Unfortunately, we were only for passing through and could not enjoy the wonderful garden and pool. There are enough parking spaces - even if they were not guarded we had no concerns to park the car there. The accommodation is not central and probably difficult to reach without a car - but a very good place to stay near Parma! We will come back!
