Possibly the best hotel we’ve stayed in Japan. Everything was perfect and attention to detail was paid by the staff everytime. Just remember to contact the hotel in advance if you require transfer from JR Toya to the hotel. There were plenty of games to play at the hotel and the view of the lake was amazing. The lounge area has a bar for those who are into alcohol. The room was spacious and super comfortable with high quality amenities provided. The private bath was also superb. There’s a coffee grinder and drip coffee maker which was an interesting experience. Breakfast and dinner were also very delicious with top notch ingredients. Highly recommended!

Hotel permata tersembunyi, pengalaman bersantap di restoran Michelin sangat menyenangkan dan memuaskan. Sangat sepadan dengan harganya, pelayanannya luar biasa! Bellboy hotelnya sangat tampan, dan wanita berambut pendek di meja resepsionis memberikan layanan yang tulus, profesional, serta bekerja sepenuh hati. Staf layanan restoran sangat ramah dan antusias! Pengalaman pemandian air panas (onsen) di luar ruangan sangat menakjubkan, bisa mendengar suara katak dan jangkrik. Lapangan golfnya terawat dengan sangat baik! Ibu petugas kebersihan kamar sangat teliti; saat mengganti sprei, beliau terlebih dahulu menutupi peralatan teh kami dengan tisu. Warna-warna rangkaian bunga dari penata bunga sungguh memikat hati saya!

Hotel ini sudah tua, dan beberapa fasilitasnya agak ketinggalan zaman, tetapi kamar-kamar tatami sangat cocok untuk keluarga dengan anak-anak atau kelompok yang lebih besar. Awalnya saya khawatir kamar mandinya tidak cukup untuk tiga orang, tetapi setelah berendam di pemandian air panas setiap hari, saya langsung mandi di sana. Pemandian air panasnya terhubung langsung ke lantai pertama dan konon berusia 100 tahun. Air panasnya luar biasa; kulit saya terasa halus setelah berendam, dan setelah seharian bermain ski, saya tidur nyenyak. Sarapan dan makan malam prasmanan di restoran hotel sederhana, dan makan malam spesial membutuhkan reservasi tiga hari sebelumnya, yang tidak sempat saya coba. Namun, ada restoran yang berjarak lima menit berjalan kaki ke kanan di luar hotel. Pada gambar enam dan tujuh, mereka memiliki hidangan daging sapi panggang dengan saus lezat yang sangat populer. Restoran ini penuh sesak dengan turis asing selama musim ski, jadi sebaiknya melakukan reservasi, jika tidak, Anda tidak akan bisa makan di sana sampai setelah pukul 8 malam. The location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much. Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it.
