The third time I have stayed in this delightful hotel (being a small boutique hotel it is necessary to book well in advance and I was very fortunate this time to get a booking) As in my previous stays the room was most comfortable and the staff first rate (especially Michael) - welcoming and most efficient, very happy to do all they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is superb - ideal for me as I was there to attend an exhibition at the Louvre. I arrived by Eurostar in to the Gare du Nord and rather than queue for a taxi it is so easy to catch a No.45 bus directly outside the station and alight at the Capucines Caumartin bus stop and it is just a few minutes walk to the hotel. I look forward to my next stay at the Hotel Stendhal!

Hotel Stendhal Place Vendome - MGallery is located within the Place Vendome/Opera (1st Arr.) Paris. It’s location is exquisite. This part of Paris is vibrant, alive and filled with wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars. Hotel Stendhal Place Vendome is intimate, cosy, comfortable typically French and chic. The team are warm, friendly and accommodating and the rooms/suites are of a reasonable size given the comparison of other hotels in Paris in this category. The hotel uses beautiful Clarins products throughout their bathrooms, Nespresso coffee pods are widely available and the Wi-Fi is quite good. It’s easy to get around on foot, alternatively the closest Metro station, Opera is located within a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Stendhal Place Vendome again in the future.

I booked 2 rooms in this hotel. One for 2 nights (14-16.10) and one for 1 night (15-16.10). This hotel is very very small. The entrance and lobby is small but the hotel is well located near the Place Vendome. The gentleman at reception was very kind and professional when I arrive at11 pm on 14 Oct. My room was fine on the 6th floor. It looked new. There was a welcoming letter and a hand written note from the manager. What stroke ma was that the letter was addressed to a Mr Moussi (not my name), this document (attached in jpeg format) was mentioning a free book by Stendhal that was nowhere to be found) that is not really good nor professional. The handwritten note was bearing a big spelling mistake which of course did not look very professional either. Breakfast is at level -1, In a small room with no window but the lady preparing breakfast is really nice and professional. She cooks eggs and bacon on demand. This hotel is like a slightly better version of a mercure. Well located and decently priced. Management could make an effort to avoid mistakes. (My invoice number was 8763).

Well located hotel, good service. But small rooms, very small breakfast area with a relatively limited selection and no other amenities. Overall not great value for money (over €300 per night for b&b).

I stayed here over the Easter weekend and had a lovely visit. My room was inward facing on the top floor, and I felt it was a very cozy space which would have been quite romantic to share. The bedding was comfortable and the room was always clean. Front desk staff was helpful with recommendations and spoke far better English than my extremely limited French. A few blocks away are the Louvre, Tuileries and Place Vendôme, and there are several nice cafes in the area, although that seems typical of Paris. I quite enjoyed the little wine bar up the street. As a small hotel, there are a few (expected) downsides, but nothing that interferes with your trip - the bar is small (but there are many options nearby), there is no fitness center (but you can go running along the Seine) and the elevator is cramped. Being boutique, the prices are high, but not unreasonable given the quality. All told, well worth a stay!

While it is not mentioned in their website, Hotel Stendhal Place is a boutique hotel, located along a small side street in Place Vendome. While small, it offers good service and nice rooms. We had gotten in early morning and were told that they were running a full house and will need to expect to only check-in at 12noon. Nevertheless, they made an effort to have 2 clean up the rooms and have us checked-in in an hours' time. We did not include breakfast in our room booking. We were fine with this as there are many coffee shops around the hotel. We liked the idea of having a modern Boulangerie - Eric Kayser - just across the street which opens early in the morning and offers freshly-baked breads and pastries as well as coffee, apart from yoghurts, salad, sandwiches. The rooms is clean, comfortable and comes with a sizeable bathroom. The only down-side, with my room, is that the toilet is separate from the bathroom and they are both in different parts of the room. But, it was a comfortable stay. The hotel is also accessible to Gallerie Lafayette, Palais Royale, The Louvre, Rue St Honore, just to name a few. It is also walkable to St Germain, across the river. A good stay. Will definitely be back.

We stayed over Christmas in this chic little hotel so near the Opera House and Place Vendôme. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. Lovely room, comfortable beds, bright bathroom with first class toiletries and fantastic service. Definitely recommend it and look forward to staying again.

Second visit in 2 years timen ,and not much has changed. Staff were again very friendly and helpful. It's a small hotel, only 3-4 rooms per floor. The rooms were ok, good size for center Paris. . Bed comfort was very good. Small bathroom with bath and rain shower above the bath. Single sink. Toilet in bathroom, this should be seperate in this hotelclass. There was a little hall, which was useless as there were even no clothhangers in there. The decor of the rooms is very warm and cozy. Minus: Elevator is centrally located to the 4 rooms, and next to our room. So you can hear the elevator going up and down all the time. Wifi was good We didn't take breakfast as there are plenty of good places nearby. Location of the hotel, walking distance to Tuileries, Opera, Printemps, Louvre. And 500 m from some important metro lines. Overall, apart from some minor comments, we had a very pleasant stay in this hotel that is located perfectly.
