Portella

An absolutely gorgeous hotel in Palma's Old Town nestled between the Cathedral and the "Banys Arabs" Arab Baths. This is Palma's newest hidden gem. We chose to book this hotel for a last minute trip to Palma, and were not disappointed. Straight after booking Portella Palma, we received an personalised email welcoming us, asking what the occasion was, gave us a huge list of recommendations for restaurants, and asked for any special requirements. The restaurant recommendations were amazing! When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and given a tour of the hotel on the way to our room, including the history of the hotel. The lovely Paula even offered to bring our luggage up to the room for us. We had a lovely personal note on the table for us too. The staff could not do enough for us. Our bed was turned down every night with fresh chocolates left. The amenities were fantastic, we had a lovely kitchenette with a mini bar including complimentary soft drinks and bottled water. They provided every toiletry you could possibly think of, and the Diptyque soaps were gorgeous. There is a lovely roof terrace with views overlooking the Arab Baths and Cathedral. There is some building work next door but this did not disturb us at all. We spent so much time in the hotel because we did not want to leave! Breakfast in the hotel was lovely, the chef(s) made lovely pancakes and eggs made to order, and were so attentive. The lady even remembered our orders every day, which is so personal. We absolutely loved our trip here, and we cannot wait to return soon. Thank-you to the amazing staff at Portella Palma who made our trip so special.

Myself and my partner stayed at Portella for our anniversary weekend and truly had a magical time, largely thanks to this unique, cosy, welcoming hotel that makes you feel right at home. Things started off great with a seamless transfer from the airport. We had a delicious lunch and were given an informative tour of the hotel. The courtyard when you walk in is very impressive. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable & helpful, especially Luke & Inga who went above and beyond for us (my partner planned with them a romantic surprise breakfast and candlelit meal). All the chefs were both talented and a delight. Our room was extremely spacious, stylish, comfortable and quiet. Diptyque soaps and a very large comfortable bath! The location is brilliant as you’re right in the thick of it while at the same time feeling completely hidden away. I would say there were a couple of few small things that would be totally normal for a hotel that has only just opened - no hooks on doors for hanging & the lights were flickering in our room a few times. As I say, very minor things that I’m sure are being sorted swiftly. If you want impeccable service & style with a unique home like feel, make sure you check out Portella.

A charming place to stay in Palma, the location is excellent as it is within the old town, service in general, rooms, comfort, food and good taste in every corner and detail. The staff is charming, you really feel at home. I will definitely repeat.

I was lucky to be one of the first to stay at this gem. Location is amazing between the cathedral and 5 mins to the water. It doesnt feel like a hotel but a private house with butlers and personal Chefs. Its magnificent. The service is intimate but unobtrusive. If you like design, you will be blown away but the style of this place. It´s calming yet uplifting. Perfect for a romantic weekend away of bolthole for explpring the island which is 45 mins by car pretty much anywhere. Shout out to Luke and the team who were wonderful. Can´t wait to come back - a real destination place.

Portella is a dream come true. From the moment you walk into the doors you feel at home, but better. The staff is extremely kind and caring, the decor is minimal yet makes you feel very at ease, I truly can't wait to come back again and again! A must stay place if you are spending some time in Palma as the location is also amazing :) Thank you Portella! You have made our weekend.

We had an amazing stay. The place is absolutely stunning and we felt really special upon entering. Our room was super bright and quiet. The team was very accommodating, and super helpful when looking for the best places to eat in town. Breakfast is great, I recommend the truffle eggs as they are delicious! There's so much to explore in Palma and the rest of the island, I hope to be back soon ❤️

Tuve el placer de alojarme dos noche durante un fin de semana en este precioso hotel boutique en el corazón de Palma de Mallorca hace poco. Necesitaba una escapada y elegí Palma, y a este hotel nuevo para un descanso placentero. No podía haber elegido mejor el hotel. Es nuevo. Antiguamente era el taller de un artista, y los nuevos propietarios lo han transformado en un hotel de de muy buen gusto, es decir, que no se han olvidado de los huéspedes que buscan tranquilidad a la vez de lujo. Los detalles realmente son el diseño, y se nota que han querido apreciar y guardar el alma del artista aún en su espacio. Precioso hotel, muy buena oferta de desayuno, y el staff un 10. Volveré, sola, o acompañada ;)

Maravillosa experiencia, es un palacete medieval reconvertido en hotel. Me encantó la maravillosa ubicación, justo en frente de los baños árabes, en una calle muy mágica y está cerca de la playa, unos 15 minutos caminando. El trato fue exquisito desde el primer minuto, muy amables todos especialmente el director Javier. Los desayunos espectaculares con productos premium, unos embutidos fantásticos, la habitación súper amplia y elegante con una bañera muy agradable. Sin lugar a duda repetiremos!!!

Mi estancia en Portella ha sido genial, el personal es super atento y amable. El lugar es maravilloso y se nota que está cuidado hasta el último rincón, tiene hasta un hamam ya que está al lado de los baños árabes. Las habitaciones son enormes y muy acogedoras, el patio central muy bonito y un buen desayuno en una zona única!
