No lift, no reception, room and furniture was poor and dirty, it’s like entire poor ! not recommended

The Harris Guest accomodation was the perfect venue for what we were looking for. It was cheap and had good availability plus had easy access into the city with buses running late into the night. Would highly recommend!

The reception forgot to put the keys in the locker and we have waited for a long time until midnight. The shower in the bathroom is not hot. Not a very good experience.

房子有個比較大的後院，可以停好幾輛車，因為我們是租車自駕遊英國，所以要找一個能停車的院子。這裏離牛津大學比較近，徒步就可以過去。周圍環境很安靜，房間裏面也很乾凈，我們是一家三口，三張床很方便。

不要訂不要訂不要訂! 1.前台沒有，出事不來，來了就就推卸責任，無任何責任 2.停車位亂畫，導致我們車子被堵住裏面，根本出不來，前台反人性讓我們一個個敲門找堵住我們車子的人，全然無責任感（非英國本土人），叫了警察，才人出現。也就是三無旅館。至客人一宿沒睡 3該所謂的旅館級別，違反合約，非法侵佔他人財產。説好全額退款，事後拒絕 4設施不夠人住的，門鎖都沒有 現在還在找英國相應管局投訴。估計調查後該旅館會被取消經營資質

We were given a warm welcome, and a downstairs room as I have mobility issues. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable. Parking on site! Close to city centre, and good local restaurants. Would definitely love to come back! Happy guests.

We stayed there a few weeks ago. It was hassle from the start they need to know your arrival time. So kept ringing me. I told them I'd be there around 5ish still was ringing me on the journey up. It turned out they don't want to actually do there job and be there. So after all that a key was left in a box with code. So we are there for a night out. So we got in no staff anywhere all night. When we got back. We had no power to any sockets so no kettle no tv no hot shower no heating or side lights. Also no one to tell. No refund didn't even say sorry and booking. Com didn't offer anything either. Avoid at all cost

We were very apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews but as we only wanted a room for two nights we thought we would take the chance. The room was basic but clean with a good shower and included tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Nice white fluffy towels too. Downsides were a damp problem which resulted in mould spots on the back wall and rubbish in the front seating area which wasn’t removed during our stay. However, at £135 for two nights it still represented very good value for money especially as parking was included and it was within walking distance of the town with bus stops nearby if half an hour walk is too much. The Co-op a few doors away sold some decent pastries for breakfast but there are also cafes close by for something more substantial. I don’t know what some people expect for the money they pay. Oxford can be expensive and this is a perfectly good budget option. We would stay again.

Whole night we could not sleep because of noise upstairs. When we contacted the hotel we were told there is no noise. At 5 am fire alarm broke out leaving all guests in a perplexed state. When we approached the contact person, he rudely said its loo early to discuss anything with us. I realized later that it is not actually a bed and breakfast but only rooms! Wish I had read all the reviews before confirming this booking though ***********. They should remove this from their list so that other will not have similar horrible experience. I have never had any horrible experience such as this.

This guest house's owners are really full of LIES as one of the reviews earlier have mentioned. I booked Tower House Guest House via *********** for my husband and child and 13 days before our trip, they asked me to cancel the room due to incomplete renovation. I said it was not professional to inform me this late, so Tower House said they have another guesthouse, which is Harris Guest House and claimed that it was only 20 mins walk from city centre (it was 37 mins' walk when we follow Google Map Direction!) and quoted Pounds 180 which I accepted without checking TripAdvisor reviews as I was busy. Big mistake. On the day of stay itself, Tower and Harris both messaged me what time my husband would arrive, and asked for my husband's mobile number. I What'sApp Harris (+44 7568 568 565) and informed that hubby and child would reach Oxford by 7.05 pm and gave my hubby's number. They never contacted him. When my husband arrived, he was left standing outside the hotel main door for more than 20 mins as there is no one was manning inside the counter. Luckily he managed to go behind the back yard and open a door the led to a staff room and found a staff inside resting. The staff apparently cannot communicate in English properly and he called his boss to come back to the hotel. When Harris' bosses reached (Adam & Said), they claimed that I've cancelled the reservation which was a LIE. They said my hubby would have to pay a higher 210 pounds to get a room! My hubby paid the higher price as he didn't want to end up on the street. When I knew about it, I confronted Tower House and they pushed the issue to Harris. When I What'sApp Harris using the same number stated above, they decided to play mute and ignore me all the way. It was clear Harris was out to scam. During the stay, the room was not up to standard even though it was recently renovated, such as: 1) renovation dust found inside the boiling kettle 2) bathroom was super tiny and without any hooks for hanging towel and clothing 3) they promised to fix the hooks but it was never done during our stay. Be duly warned and save yourself unnecessary trouble!

The accommodation is a 35-40 minute walk from the center at a good pace. Our room was at the back of the house. It was ridiculously small, more than a room it was a storage room. I am 1.55m tall and weigh less than 50kg and could barely move around the bed without tripping or having to walk sideways. We had two small backpacks but if we had brought suitcases they wouldn’t have fit inside the room. The walls were paper thin, we could hear absolutely everything that was going on in the next room. There is NO Wi-Fi even though it is included in the services offered. There is a light in the street with a motion sensor and it was constantly turning on and off all night, waking us up. The only good point is that the “room” was clean. The price is totally disproportionate to the service, a scam. If the alternative is to sleep on the street, fine, but if not, we strongly recommend against staying at this establishment.

Due to the rail strike in May, we had a sudden change of plans & needed a place to stay for 2 nights within short notice. Most places were already booked but we managed to find this place for 70L per night (cash, ensuite room). Some reviews must be under other management, as the room & hotel was very clean. Also easy to reach by bus to/from the town centre. When we arrived, there were workers doing repairs on the premises who let us in & gave us a key. Nearby was a VERY LOVELY cafe called Silvie where we picked up a very nice, freshly baked breakfast. I would recommend this place & will keep it in mind for future travel to Oxford.

We asked for a room at the back so it would be quieter which they said was fine. We managed to get two spaces in the car park as my sister and I had to drive separately and met at the guest house. I would say you can have six cars parked there... We were warmly greeted by a friendly lady who was cleaning the rooms. She gave us a key and showed us to our room. The room was very small but we only spent 1 night there and just needed a place to sleep so for that purpose, it was fine. We wanted something cheap which it was, for Oxford. Just don't expect too much. The bed was clean and I slept well. All good. Breakfast not included.
