"Evaluation of the TIMGADE Hotel in Oran. Unfortunately, my experience upon arrival at the TIMGADE hotel in Oran was extremely disappointing. The staff at the reception were unwelcoming and seemed disinterested. No effort has been made to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The lack of professionalism of the staff was striking. Employees appeared disorganized and uncompetent in performing their tasks. Simple requests like WIFI were handled poorly which added to my feeling of frustration and discomfort. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The general attitude of the staff was indifferent and unconcerned with the well-being of the guests. Although the cleanliness of my room was acceptable, other parts of the hotel appeared poorly maintained. Common facilities were dirty and in disrepair, which would contribute to an overall feeling of neglect. The breakfast, far from reflecting the photos on the advertising model, consisted of a simple café au lait, the pastries consisted of 4 bread croutons and 2 madeleine type cakes. Conclusion: Overall, my stay at the TIMGADE hotel in Oran was very disappointing due to the poor welcome and the lack of professionalism of the staff. I would not recommend this property to other travelers unless significant changes are made to the hotel's management and service culture."

"Whilst our room was not huge it was very well appointed and clean and the beds very comfortable. What really made the Palme stand out for me was the restaurant. For a relatively small hotel the range and quality of options in the dinner buffet was amazing. Having spent the last 15 days travelling around Algeria we found the food at the Palme the best we have come across !! The chef decked out in red was present in the dining room and made the difference between this being a good or great hotel !!!"

"We had an excellent 2 night stay at The Assala Hotel at the end of our 19 day trip around Algeria. Everything about the hotel was perfect. We were given a very large and comfortable suite ( room 301) with a small balcony . It was spotlessly clean and comfortable and even had a kettle and mini bar. However, I would like to comment on the reception staff who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. It was difficult to find a taxi so they even provided us with their own courtesy vehicle to take us to and from the shopping mall. We had a very reasonable lunch in the hotel restaurant and were allowed a late check out as our flight was not until the evening. The young man in reception speaks good English and his lady colleague was also most helpful so I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. A big thank you to all concerned."

"The room service and front desk phone numbers are always unreachable. There are no toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers. The room I booked on Ctrip doesn't have a sea view, so I can only get a room on the lower floor facing the street. It's very noisy at night, with motorcycles and cars roaring all night. Changing rooms costs extra. Once you check in, you can't get a refund for the next few days even if you apply 2 days in advance. It's not worth the price."

"Although the hotel had a lot of charm and the staff were very attentive, my stay nevertheless got off to a very bad start. When I made my reservation, I requested a shuttle after providing all my flight details as requested (arrival time 11:30 PM, flight number, origin), and the shuttle was confirmed. Upon arrival, however, there was no one in sight. I checked my emails and discovered that no shuttle service was provided after 10 PM. Alone at the airport, I tried to contact the hotel several times without success. I had a very bad experience; it was a blatant lack of incompetence and professionalism. I stayed in room 512, which had numerous stains on the carpet and a broken refrigerator. I had hoped to store my cheeses in it, but the ice packs didn't last the night, and I had to throw everything away the next day. Finally, breakfast was a huge disappointment. There was very little choice, a very limited selection, and the choice was practically nonexistent. I only took cheese and bread. You only had one uninteresting type of cheese and a terrible Nescafé. What a shame! You have a beautiful hotel, but there's still a lot to improve. As for breakfast, I suggest you visit your competitors, like AZ Hotel (to name one), and you'll see that what you offer is truly dismal."

"I booked a premium suite for my little family with a price that exceeds standards. Hotel offers being very limited in Algeria where there is not much choice, I opted for this hotel despite its high price. I had to turn around at the time of check-in and not stay on principle for two reasons: - Access to the swimming pool and the Aqua park is not included in the price of the room, despite the fact that this one, as already mentioned, goes beyond the standards. - The reception asks for a DEPOSIT, yes yes, a supposedly 5-star hotel which requires a deposit of around €150 which should cover I don't know what! I am Algerian and I am ashamed of the hotel offerings in my country. A 5-star hotel, recently inaugurated which does not grant access to its swimming pool to its residents and sells access to its swimming pool to everyone, residents or not. And also, a hotel, not an apartment rental company, a hotel that requires a deposit!!!"

"The worst services I have ever seen in my life, I have more than 60 hotels living par year around the world, never seen this kind of service on my traveling, forbidden to buy foods from outside to eat it in your room, I bought sandwiches for lunch they told me not allowed to eat inside you should stay outside of hotel ender the sun also it’s too hot outside august 16th, so I choked i have paid around 50000 da par night then I eaten my lunch in my car, also another thing I choked it is The sign they put up in the breakfast room, forbidden for children to get breakfast, you can check the picture."

The carpets are a source of allergies and unfortunately weren't cleaned, even after we reported it! Too many mosquitoes, and it's only May!!! The restaurant and breakfast were very good!!!
