"Yes, I returned to Oban Youth Hostel after 70yrs and had an excellent experience, nice accommodation, beautiful sunny weather. Clean kitchen, not too busy, quite time of the year...but right on the Seafront close to the town centre. Travelled on the boat to Craignure before booking into the Youth Hostel..beautiful sunny day, Had a drink from the reception and sat out enjoying the sun...watching the boats come and go. Saturday morning I again travelled on the boat to Craignure another bright and sunny day, then I caught the bus back to Glasgow"

"Excellent Hotel  The location is great, the rooms are clean and nice and big. Breakfast was very good. The staff where pleasant and very helpful. The only moan is about The Brasserie We booked the Brasserie for my wife’s birthday meal on the Saturday evening, we both love seafood so we ordered Oysters to start, the waiter came back and said they hadn’t got any Oysters, I asked what seafood was available from the menu and he said they only had mussels. Very disappointed to say the least, considering Oban is the Seafood capital of Scotland. So we went to EE USK down the road and had a wonderful seafood meal, they had everything we asked for and wanted. for"

"I was surprised and disappointed that no one was at the property to greet us. We found by chance an envelope with our key in. The room was a good size with comfortable beds. We bumped into the host by chance who made it obvious she did not want to interact with us. No one there when we left. Just a basket to put the key into."

"This is very small botique hotel, didn't look impressive front the entrance outside hotel. The moment we went in, it is really cozy & we were greeted by very warming in house manager & booked dinner table as well. We enjoyed their breakfast and as well as dinner, very good quality. Our concern is this hotel doesn't have lift."

"As a solo traveller, the single room was ok. The bathroom was small, and the shower needed to be explained!! The room did have a strange smell, not a fresh smell. Maybe the carpet needs to be steamed cleaned? The food in the restaurant is excellent, and the Haddock was superb. And bar prices are reasonable."

"We chose this lovely BandB for its location and great reviews. It was an excellent choice. We cannot praise the hosts, Darren and Karen enough. We were warmly welcomed and shown our room , Islay. It had views of the garden and was beautifully appointed and really comfortable. The en suite was lovely and we had plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Darren and Karen have a Great knowledge of the local area. This was helpful for planning our sightseeing. Thank you! The location is perfect for visiting Arduaine Garden, Kilmartin and Crinan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend."
