I made a reservation in November 2023 for the week of Dia de Muertos 2024. I was just notified this past weekend that the hotel canceled my reservation without explanation. My guess is so they rent the room for a much higher rate. They have not responded to my message. I would not trust this hotel to hold your reservation.

The hotel was a perfect location. The rooms were clean and the price was good. We stayed one night but had to move to another hotel because they infused the air with an air freshener that gave us a headache. We don’t understand while hotels use those.

Upon arrival there was an issue with our rooms. But the Front desk manager Francisco Rustria was very professional, friendly and helpful resolving things to our complete satisfaction. They’re remodelling the hotel. Even the older rooms are still nice and very clean. In the courtyard they serve breakfast (extra cost) and drinks in the evening. The location couldn’t be better - a 5’ walk from the main square Zocalo as well as the covered markets Benito Juárez and 20 de Noviembre. The wifi works very well too.

Excellent property and very convenient,to many activities, very close to centro Historico. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. You can book any local tours through them.the Hotel Property is clean and has a beautiful old time charm.Mr.juan Ramirez the Barman was great and friendly...his service was excellent.

This hotel is right in the center of town... The rooms were beautiful and beds were decent.. the whole hotel has a great rustic colonial vibe. The best thing about this hotel is the location, as it was a few blocks away from the towns main square (Zócalo). My least favorite thing was the parking, although this is to be expected as these old towns were never intended to be used as parking lots. Overall i would definitely recommend, the place was clean and the staff was typical amazing Mexican hospitality.

Spent an entire week there enjoying Oaxaca. Good central location for sightseeing and restaurant options. Staff was friendly, and responsive to requests for extra towels, blankets. Breakfast was enjoyable and leisurely in the courtyard. Easy to book day tours and get picked up and dropped off. Highly recommended and definitely would choose to return on another trip

Muy buena ubicación, las habitaciones interiores están mejor equipadas que las que dan a la calle, los balcones son extremadamente ruidosos por el entorno, los desayunos son muy buenos. Tardan mucho en asear la habitación, y cuidado con el baño debes llevar sandalias porque está más resbaloso que un 🐟, pero la gran ventaja que tiene el hotel es q todo te queda caminando, si llevas vehículo te cobran 10 dólares por noche la pensión. En general está bastante aceptable.

Excelente servicio y ubicación. Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos en La Casona, el inmueble fue restaurado respetando la majestuosa arquitectura original, tiene un toque vintage chic, además sales y tienes todo a la mano, incluso un estacionamiento cruzando la calle donde tienen convenio con tarifa especial 24 hrs. Esta ocasión estuvimos once días, fuimos y venimos a la playa aprovechando la nueva carretera. El restaurante brinda un buen servicio para iniciar el día o terminarlo de manera relajada.

Caro para el tipo de habitación que nos asignaron. Baño reducido y sin algo donde poner tus cosas, clima medio funcionando, no elevador, solo escaleras, recepción solo hombres y muy resecos como que les incomoda hablar...lo único bueno que podría tener es la ubicación. Entras y huele muy fuerte el aromatizante que tienen al interior que hasta te arde la nariz.
