I have stayed 4 times at HH to visit family in Chicago. During my most recent stay I mentioned to Beth - the owner- that my Mom was not eating breakfast. She insisted that I take some of the delicious baked treats that she put out for breakfast to my Mom. You're not getting that kind of care for guests anywhere else. The Inn itself is a delight - clean, comfortable and peaceful. It's my home away from home when I visit Chicago.

The host has thought of every detail, we were in the Jimmy Stewart room which was excellent. Great breakfast, central location to walk to everywhere in Oak Park - farmers market, FLW House, downtown. Highly recommend to anyone considering staying in the area.

Everything about this place was fantastic. Rooms, common spaces, our hostess. We stayed in two rooms and both were spotless and beautiful, breakfast was delicious as well. it was a really lovely weekend. We will definitely return here next time we are in Oak Park.

Amazing place in Oak Park, and a great location close to downtown Oak Park and a brief train ride from downtown Chicago. The breakfast is fantastic and Beth is a great host. I slept like a newborn. Rooms are comfortable and the house is very cozy and relaxing. A great place to getaway.

Called to make reservation for garden room Spoke to Beth Made reservations with her 10 minutes later changed plans no answer on same phone line Left message to cancel reservation Thought all was ok 45 minutes later Beth calls inform me I will be charged total amount because Another party wanted same room she told them no before retrieving phone messages She felt I owed the whole amount which has been charged to my card Piss poor way to treat people I will be passing this on to anyone who will listen

I stayed in one of the attic rooms—The Oak Park Suite—but what an attic! Spacious, and beautifully and comfortably furnished. The stairs were a bit steep, but manageable. Besides its guest rooms, the Harvey House offers wonderful common areas on the ground floor. I didn’t have a car, but was able to get around the Oak Park area as well as into the City easily on the “L” green line trains from the Ridgeland station a couple of blocks away. Proprietor Beth is welcoming and very helpful. I picked this B&B because it was close to The Nineteenth Century Charitable Organization where a close friend was giving a recital during my stay. But I think I would choose this “hotel” in the future for even more city centric visits: out of the fray but conveniently close to the action.

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Very close to the train, so quick rides to downtown Chicago. Our room was large with lots of windows, and very cozy. Lots of nice little touches. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of yummy choices for breakfast - and beautifully displayed. And the hospitality was outstanding. Will definitely stay here again.
