Aloft Charleston Airport & Convention Center

The location was good, but it wasn't good room for a couple, the bathroom was open and there was no privacy, and I found a huge bug in my sleep and I had to catch it. It's a place where the airplane noise is very bad.

It could you some improvement from a customer service standpoint. The location is incredible. They just need the right mix of people to keep it afloat.

Rooms were not refilled with soap, missing shampoo dispenser in one of them (broken off the shower wall), no trash cans in either room. Room smelled musty and the AC unit was louder than the airplanes landing across the street. I've been to a few Aloft hotels and this one was the worst.

This property appears to be upgraded but with minimal modifications. The ceilings are cracking and falling, the shower door is a mirror, but is coming off the hinges(not safe), the light to the bathroom is turned on by the same light for the room(you can’t use one without the other), the shower has a glass window in it that faces the room( completely see through). We checked in on Saturday afternoon with a booking through Monday morning, not once did the staff advise that the water will be turned off from 11pm-7am until the day of and just by a paper under the door with a disconnected number to contact the assistant manager(Unacceptable) I did not pay for a room to have running water, especially when this was a planned repair that should’ve taken place the week prior and was changed. Management had plenty of time to prepare and advise consumers upon arrival, instead just took our money with no remorse. To top it off I have two pending charges for $100 for which I have no clue why and when I called to acquire information I was provided a number to Canada to have it fixed. For the record, that number doesn’t even work. This is the most ridiculousness I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. We will not be staying again.

They are under construction however I will have to say you wouldn't know it. I absolutely love this hotel.

The staff members are incredibly friendly and accommodating. 10/10 on that. The property itself is just okay. Upon arrival, there was a homeless man and woman with a shopping cart out front trying to argue with a gentleman that was probably telling them to get off the property and they were around there later as well but in the back of the hotel. The hotel room needs updating, which they were also renovating the 2nd floor so hopefully they’re going to update the rest.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Location to airport and convenience of the prompt shuttle service were a plus

The room was nice. You can see it has been under renovation. The ceiling in our room had been scraped but not freshly repaired. The toilet was an older toilet that is really short.

Restaurants were under renovations and the indoor pool was freezing. Huge disappointment.
