Premier Inn Glasgow (Motherwell)

We always stay in a Premier Inn when we stay away from home. Although it isn’t a Premier Plus room and is looking a bit dated, it was clean, tidy and has an extremely warm welcome when we arrived. We also found the staff very courteous and always happy to help us out. The bed was comfortable and the location was ideal as we were visiting family.

Had a great stay. Reception staff were very welcoming. Housekeeping were great when I asked for some clean towels and cups. Nothing is ever too much at this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable and I had a great sleep. The bed was great. I will be back

Friendly helpful staff and it was a quiet night sleep, but that’s where the positives for this place end. Probably the most run down, old premier inn I’ve ever stayed in. It is clean, and the bed is comfortable, but man it needs a refurb asap!! Some of the bathrooms have pink tiles and rusty yellowing radiators. Feels like stepping back in time into your grannies house in the 90s. While all premier inns are a little different, I feel there should be a baseline standard of what you get, and this place needs to be majorly updated to meet that standard. We switched rooms as the first one we were allocated had an overwhelming smell of damp. Staff were helpful and resolved the issue with no problems. Can’t fault them. Based on the state of the hotel though, we won’t be going back.

Came here on business as my usual hotel was fully booked. I use to always say you can relay on a premier inn but this is a real let down. The room is in massive need of an upgrade. There is nowhere to charge your phone on the bedside table, very poor lighting, the bathroom fan stayed on ALL night even though the light was off and the heated towel rail which had warnings about how hot it got didn’t work. It’s like it’s been left in the 1980’s. The bathroom was dyer and looked grubby again in massive need of a refresh - won’t be back here in a hurry

Hotel provided the usual friendly clean service I normally get when using premier inn. Car parking was free and I felt comfortable leaving my car here. Food again was excellent. Only negative I can say is the hotel now needs a little TLC but it was still very clean and I would return if I was returning that way.

This is a return business trip. I work away a lot and stay in many hotels. I return here time and time again and if in this area this is my first choice of hotel. The hotel is in a great location. Rooms are kept spotless clean. Staff are friendly, professional and go that extra mile. 10/10 for customer service. Would like to especially thank Mark McGrady who is in the maintenance team. I unfortunately in a car crash on yesterday. Today while waiting for car recovery and faced with a car jam packed (mobile office) umboxing and preparing for over 10 trips up and down stairs with contents. Without asking for any help I literally turned round and Mark was there on hand and had already started to help move the boxes. I was stressed out and daunted at the job in hand and situation. Mark helped me out, calmed me down and I cannot thank him enough for the help be gave. His kindness and compassion are a true credit to the Premier Inn Motherwell. They should think themselves lucky to have men like Mark representing their hotel. I don't write reviews but do not want this to go unrecognised. Thank you Mark, you're a star!!!
