"I really like this hotel; it's very unique. Breakfast in the restaurant is à la carte, but the bread and blueberry yogurt are free. The room also provides two complimentary glass bottles of water each day. It's not mineral water, but the local drinking water. ☺️ The hotel is located in the small town of Newbury, surrounded by beautiful scenery and many English-style country cottages. 🏡 I was so moved. 💗 I just wanted to enjoy a different kind of rural scenery from the city. 😄"

"We frequently use Travelodge as we have a dog and it's just easy. We have recently stayed at Chievely Travelodge. We had a 3 night stay booked. The room was as expected but extremely hot. So hot it made it impossible for our dog to settle and she was quite poorly. We spent one uncomfortable night in our room and asked to be moved. Sanjay was excellent! He understood that we were struggling with our dog and sorted a different room on the cooler side of the hotel, nothing was too much trouble. They cleaned the room very quickly as it was occupied the night before, and moved us over as swiftly as possible. Thank you Sanjay, our dog was very happy in her second room, nice and cool and we were all able to sleep."

"Hotel was easy to get to (used Google Maps as not familiar with the area!) its tucked away from the retail park and is lovely & quiet. Car parking was great with lots of space available. Clean grounds and a nice atmosphere as we went in. Check in was smooth & easy. We booked a table for tea. The room was lovely & clean, beds and pillows were super comfy (have since bought 2 pillows!). Super quiet area and no noise in the corridors overnight. Special shout out to Arianna & Dina - I honestly don't know how they do it all! Nothing was too much for them - we really enjoyed getting to know them. Their service was impeccable. Really friendly - we honestly can't praise them enough. We ate at the hotel for our evening meal and breakfast the next morning. Food was lovely, plenty of availability. All in all a great stay for 1 night and we'd definitely stay again if we're ever in the area again."

"Stayed in flat 3 for a couple of nights mainly to visit newbury racecourse. The booking process was relatively straightforward note that theres a £150 security deposit (which was refunded on the day we left) and its £8 a night to park. Apartment is modern and well equiped although we didnt do much cooking...the big bonus is a decent fridge and washing machine. Flat 3 is at the front of the block overlooking the street so does get some road noise. The apartments are centrally located so an easy walk to everything newbury has to offer."

"I visit this pub a couple of times a year as a beautiful mid point with a friend. On this occasion the food had noticeably improved and the Christmas decorations as well as warm friendly reception from staff made the visit extra special. Excited to return again next year. We are hoping to stop over night next time."

"Lovely clean room spacious everything you could need for an overnight stay. Unfortunately there was no hot water in bath/shower only luke warm. Sink tap very hot and the mixer bar get hot to the touch but water did not get hot. Consequently we had to have a cool bath in the evening after a long day and cool shower first thing. As it was late in the evening no member of staff on duty to ask"

"The lodge is a great location if you are going to the racecourse. We arrived at around 1:30 as the first race was at 2:30 and was told that if we wanted to check in early we would have to pay a fee of £20. When the races often start at around 2-2:30 this seemed unreasonable. I had to come out of he racecourse between races to check In. I’ve stayed at the Lingfield racecourse hotel and they checked us in 12:30 as our room was ready. Went for breakfast at around 7:50 and there was no menus out, the staff seemed totally disorganised. There was no instructions on how to order food. The continental “help yourself” was ok but had very little fruit options. They did have alpro soya and oat milk as milk alternatives. The room was clean and tidy but very basic. It did have a free standing fan which was good in the warm weather. The bad was big and comfortable. The shower was nice and had shower gel. The customer service let it down a little."
