Le Méridien New York, Fifth Avenue

酒店很新，在第五大道附近這個價位很不錯 畢竟紐約新酒店很少 服務也很熱情 門口的保安大叔每天都會say hello😄 房間不大 沒辦法了在紐約都是如此 其他都還可以吧～ 靠着韓國街 這條街比韓國街清爽多了

酒店早餐不是自助餐，是要點單的，還要給20%服務費（強制收取），所以雖然買了包早餐，但是每天早上還要多花10美金。

Not the best, but good location. I come to nyc for work every month, and this isn’t my favorite, and I was super bummed because I wanted it to be my new go-to! My room had horrible light, the air didn’t work (it was more a fan, and I was so hot at night). Weird random tapping noise woke me up every few hours. No in room coffee, but free voucher for a latte downstairs was nice!

Upscale hotel in good central location on Fifth Ave, helpful staff, next to lively Korea town, plenty of restaurants and convenience shops in walking distance. Good lobby, quick check in, nice casual restaurant, and excellent breakfast.

Wow! The front desk , especially Joey and Mr. Oswald, were so accommodating. They couldn’t do enough for us. Whenever we needed anything, they jumped right in to help. Rooms were clean and comfortable, although small , as expected in NY city. Location was central and great. We easily walked to Central Park, Times Square and many restaurants. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Tiny rooms, with a LOT of noise coming from 5th Avenue - considering this is a brand new hotel, I would have expected better soundproofing. Definitely not a usual Le Meridien property. Bathrooms are also particularly small and uncomfortable. Breakfast for Platinum & Titanium members is shockingly poor, and the "credit" does not cover the cost - definitely more worthwhile taking the points option and grabbing a bagel from a nearby store. Housekeeping is beyond shocking - the housekeeping staff do not understand a word of English, especially frustrating when asking for a towel or a simple bar of soap. The shampoo bottle was faulty and came off the wall and was never fixed during my 5 night stay, despite asking multiple times. Floors were never vacuumed and stray hairs remained in the bathroom. On day of check out, I was asked by Norma the housekeeper what time I was checking out, to which I responded 4pm, which she made a note of. At 3pm, she and her colleague Lorena decided to enter the room and woke me up from a nap, despite the do not disturb sign being on the door handle. This is totally inexcusable, and overall left a very bad taste to the extent that I cancelled my next upcoming reservation at this hotel on my return to NYC. A very poor experience and this hotel has a long way to meeting the usually high global standards of Le Meridien.

Not clear why this is classified as a Meridien. The standard king rooms are the same small size as any no name hotel in New York. You can just about open up a carry-on case in the space right behind the entry door which is where the bathroom niche starts. The fresh air vent in my room was pound and reminded me of sitting on an airplane (relatively high frequency). And engineer came and fixed it by blocking it off temporarily. However, the ducting in the place is so shoddily done that even with the aircon turned off, you still get lots of noise from aircon vent. Due to the small room, you sleep approx. 1.5m from the door, which means you hear your neighbour’s doors and the elevator chimes throughout the night (over the otherwise turned-off but still loud aircon). Bath is clean and shower better than Westin and Marquis … but given rate, definitely better of staying at either of those and getting a room you can actually open a suitcase in and not sleep right next to the door! Staff was great, and very helpful (Joey), they have to deal with a building which just shouldn’t be a Meridien, Westin, Marriott, etc.

We recently stayed at this hotel. While the rooms are tiny (common in NYC) the staff was very helpful and friendly. We found the location good and the rooms quiet. The bed was comfortable and shower good. We would not hesitate staying here again.

I've stayed here three times and I would stay again. This hotel is a solid 4+ stars hotel for a variety of reasons. First, yes, the rooms are small, but so are most NYC hotel rooms in this price point for a full service hotel. You want bigger rooms, you will pay more or get a lessor hotel. What I have found is that the rooms facing Fifth (although noisier) are a bit bigger and nicer. For the smaller rooms at the hotel, I honestly do not know why they did not make those queen beds vs kings (the kings are just too big). Anyone complaining about closet space... see my comment above about room size. Second, the staff here is absolutely amazing. Too many hotels have lost that touch. Love the staff. Third, the location is perfect for me: three blocks to my office, close to everything in mid-town and easy to get downtown and back via park, fifth or madison. I really do not like staying in the heart of mid-town/times square so this is a great compromise. Fourth, the Gym is actually pretty good. Yes, if you go to The Edition down the street they have an amazing Gym, but you are also paying $700 a night. Fifth, the restaurant is OK. I think they need to work out some kinks. There are challenges with the staff fully understanding how American's order things: like a Martini on the rocks came in a martini glass with ice vs a rocks glass or breakfast with a side of sausage came with sliced pepperoni. Also, the TV in the bar does not really work: no live sports bec they are not connected to any actually live programming -- odd. They use Roku, but don't seem to understand you need to add in an app like Fubo or Sling. In the end, I've been there three times and some things could be better, but all things considered NO WAY this is a 3 start hotel and def a solid 4 star in a great location with excellent staff. Plus... it's NEW!
