I was hopeful since this was a brand new construction. I was greeted by someone who was hurried, offered a minimum of customer service. He kept looking at his screen until I asked for an update or if he needed further information.
I ended up waiting 45 minutes to check in and in retrospect should have taken the offer from trip.com to relocate. The customer service representative could not "find" the payment from trip.com and made it my problem. He offered no alternative. There was nowhere to sit and the steps were dusty and dirty. He eventually gave me an office chair.
The room is brand new but there were drywall patches everywhere and the caulking job in the bathroom looks hasty. The black out curtains are too short and don't block out the light. There no sheets either. The door is no soundproofed and you'll hear every elevator beep, door close, human.
Our room was only cleaned once despite leaving every morning by 10 am. Only one elevator worked and often there would be a random garbage bag in it.
The customer support never told us about the amenities or asked if we needed anything. When we checked out he was on the phone and dismissive and didn't say anything.
Opening a new business is stressful but this experience was unacceptable, especially for a 4 day stay. I expected better from Ramada.
