The Grand Uddhav

I recently had an extremely distressing experience during my stay at The Grand Uddhav in Delhi, India. Unfortunately, I had both my laptop and some cash stolen from my room. The only individuals seen on CCTV entering my room were the hall boy and cleaner, which clearly points to an internal theft issue. The hotel management's response was incredibly disappointing. It took them an entire day to contact the police. To make matters worse, they informed us that if we filed a theft report, we would be required to stay in the country until the case was resolved, which could take several weeks. This seemed like a tactic to dissuade us from reporting the incident. This lack of urgency and support from the hotel management left us feeling unsafe and mistrustful of the staff. Given the severity of the situation and the hotel's poor handling of it, I cannot recommend The Grand Uddhav to anyone. Travelers deserve to feel secure and supported by the establishments they choose to stay with, and sadly, this was not the case here. Please be cautious if you decide to stay at this hotel, and ensure you keep your valuables secure at all times. Date of Stay: April 2024

Clean rooms and housekeeping staff was professional, courteous and helpful, they attended my call at 10 pm and resolved issue of foul smell that came from washroom. We stayed in room no. 207 on map for 2 nights. Dinner is served in thali however the same menu was served for 2 days that was boring however breakfast was mix of indian and european cuisine. One disappointing incident that happened while having dinner at roof top was that when i approached the staff to ask him to clean the table he showed me his hand indicating to stop whatever i had to say. That was bit rude though. And i told him that i didn't even start the conversation that he showed me his hand! although my concern to clean the table was attended afterwards.

Rooms are luxurious and yet budget friendly. Dining options are diverse and service is impeccable. Staff are gentle and friendly

Comfortable stay, well connected to nearby markets/ transit routes. Food menu was attractively priced.

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. Very hospitable and friendly. The location is in a crowded market but once you enter the hotel, it's a totally different world. Lot of foreigners choose this hotel too. Would definitely stay here next time too!

1. On the hotel description, it was no where mentioned that i booked for a non-ac room. The hotel charged me 1500 rs extra. The hotel and your description is a scam
