Do NOT book this hotel on **********. When we got there they didn't have our booking. They said their listing on ********** was hacked, the prices lowered by the hacker, and they didn't have our room. And if they did, it would cost more (they didn't charge us more). They said it was an issue for them and ********** is not responsive. I arrived in the middle of the night, after a very long flight, to be told my room was not available. They put the 4 of us in their last available room with two double beds, which was fine for the night since we were dead tired. The next day they moved us into a bigger room. The day after they finally moved us into the room we booked, with a view of the pyramids (the entire reason I chose this hotel in the first place, for the view). The first two rooms we had did not face the pyramids, but were quiet since it was away from the street. The last room faced the pyramids, but was loud at night (dogs barking, cars honking). It was a hassle having to pack our stuff up each day for our 3 day stay and leaving our bags in the lobby. It was not very clean, there seemed to be a layer of grime on everything. The water temperature in the shower not consistent (this seemed to be normal throughout Egypt though). The day before we left, the hotel owner came to talk to us, and gave us a free lunch for the room trouble, he was on vacation for the past month and it seems things were let go during his absence (he apologized for the hotel not being clean too). He seemed quite nice. I'm giving the hotel a 1/5 on ********** so others won't have a missing reservation, and a 3/5 on Google / Tripadvisor for the hotel itself. Also, hotel is very hard to find, should put a sign outside. It's right next to a bank, there is an unmarked doorway, you have to go inside and then go up like 3 flights of stairs, and then there is a sign inside the stairwell so you know which floor to stop at. Our airport driver had to ask around in the middle of the night to find the hotel. If we had come in an Uber we would have been toast lol. They do have a 24 hour front desk, but the phone number I had via ********** said it wasn't a valid number when my driver tried to call. Anyway, maybe things will be clean since the owner is back and if you book directly with the hotel you may have a better experience than me. Best of luck!!
