The Anchor Motel

Our rooms were so nice and since we paid online we didn’t need to check-in. They just sent us a room code. Very convenient since we arrived late at night. Great location also. Just a short drive to the Block Island Ferry. We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome location and great place to stay! We’ve been coming to the Anchor for over 10 years as a family and joining friends for some fun beach time. Everything you want in a motel to enjoy the beach, local restaurants and friendly environment.

A perfect room steps from the beach. Spotless room/bathroom with mini fridge/flat screen TV. Simple check in/check out. Coffee/tea mini muffins/brochures and books available in small lobby. Will definitely be back! Thank you Anchor Hotel.

First time we stayed here …will not be the last ! We found our new place in Rhode Island. Accommodating staff, prime location, clean room and what else can someone want for a relaxing weekend at the beach ? They have coffee in the office and doughnuts in the morning . Cutest place ever !

This is a second time we stay at this hotel. Very clean, across the street from Scarborough Beach. Our granddaughter loves it here. Simple to book and leave without any hassle. The staff is friendly too! The only thing I wish they had was a small table in their rooms. Other than that it wonderful at this Motel. We'll be back next year for sure!!

One word.... Perfection. The rooms are comfortable, the owners are the nicest people you'll ever meet and the location is perfect. A few short steps and you're on the beach. It's not a 5 star hotel, but it's the perfect place to stay if you want to fall asleep listening to the waves crashing on the beach. We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Our recent stay was wonderful as usual. The rooms are immaculate and the location is fabulous with Scarborough Beach across the street. Rates are reasonable and the self check-in makes it so easy. I want to keep this place a secret but they deserve a very positive review.

We booked several rooms at the Anchor for my daughter's wedding based on the great reviews. The motel did not disappoint! I had room #14 as a MOB should have the best room in the house. We had booked about 80% of the rooms there. I received many thanks from our family and friends for directing everyone to the motel; everyone was very pleased with the accommodations. They don't do room blocks but the prices are competitive and even less than the big box hotels room block prices further away from Ocean Rd. The location was ideal, we were close to the wedding venue and oceanside eateries, walking trails etc. The accommodations were excellent, comfy mattresses, very clean rooms, no musty motel smell. an ocean view from every room. You can see the commitment and investment of this family run motel. Many recent upgrades: trek deck porches, solar panels, inside & outside lighting, and more. A great experience was had by all!!

I booked this place for location and that is the best thing about this place, maybe it was our room close to the lobby but the stay was not comfortable. The beds had older firm mattresses, the tv was a little bigger than a computer monitor, rooms were hot but ac was so loud!! Towels were old which is fine but they had an unpleasant smell and you can’t have you blinds open as some guests were right outside smoking and right out your window. When we did have the window open you could hear the ocean which was nice. It just wasn’t how it appeared in photos. The guests were friendly and I did like the keyless entry but we won’t be staying here again.
