Wild Garlic Rooms

Stayed for 5 nights in Shortwood whilst attending a cookery course locally with my son. The experience did not match the expense of the stay. Kept awake by noise, bathroom in a poor state, things were broken, no attention to providing a warm welcome. Really need to update the facilities and take more care of guests when charging this amount.

We had a fantastic stay in The Loft at Wild Garlic after having our wedding breakfast at Wilder. The room was lovely. So clean & well put together with underfloor heating in the bathroom and a MASSIVE bath. The continental breakfast was a lovely touch, with muffins, granola & yogurt, juice, cereal & plenty of milk for tea or coffee.

This accomodation is definately 5*+ wonderful rooms with continental breakfast and small fridge in the room. I have stayed in Sorrel, Nettle and Elderflower all fabulous. Nothing is too much trouble for the owner and I won't stay anywhere else when I am in the area.

Hotels didn’t pass on that we needed a two single beds so when we asked the staff at the hotel to change this they refused this I had to sleep on a chair and had about 30 minutes sleep

Our family ran into some problems but owner was very kind to let us check out later.

Stayed in the Loft. Beautiful bedroom & bathroom, Right in the centre of lovely Nailsworth.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Nailsworth this really should be it. I have stayed here on several occasions in different rooms which range from good size doubles to a family suite and also apar**ents. The check in is straightforward and the rooms are well furnished with a high standard of decor and with lovely finishing touches. Right on the doorstep is Nailsworth with plenty to explore in the town. Highly recommended.

The Wild Garlic Rooms had good reviews so was looking forward to staying but it was disappointing. It is a great location and has good muffins but it needs better maintenance and deeper cleaning. Pros: clean and crisp sheets and towels, good muffins Cons: toilet didn’t work well; shower was super hot or cold with weak pressure; walls a but scuffed up; thin mattresses in bunk bed room; loud (could hear guests in other rooms); cleaning (looks as if it is only surfaced cleaned and hasn’t had a deep clean in a while); no place to store bags after check out; no contact person on site felt self catering. For the price, there are definitely better places nearby with comfy beds and hot showers.

Fantastic appar**ent with very friendly staff. Would be an easy 5 star review, if not for the very comfortably sitting sleeping sofa, that is very uncomfortable to sleep on.
