"The toilet in the room wasn't flushed or hadn't been flushed properly. The landlord said I was wrong (he thought I meant a green liquid), but actually he was wrong; it wasn't green liquid, otherwise I wouldn't have had to brush my teeth in the outside bathroom the next day. (I only discovered the toilet problem when I got up to use the bathroom the next day, then went back to sleep, so I didn't take a picture. Later, I was busy checking out and didn't take any more pictures. I washed up outside the bathroom the first night, so I only noticed it the next day. I flushed twice but it wouldn't flush, so I had to use the outside bathroom). Aside from this one issue, which the landlord seemed unaware of, he resolved all the other problems he could. And since we were all Chinese, he allowed me to check out an hour or two late (all the Fijian apartments I've stayed in so far have required check-out before 11 pm), so he's a good landlord. The hygiene issue was probably due to him being in a remote location and not being aware of the situation, or his cleaning staff not thoroughly checking the toilet… these are probably issues that can be improved. In other words, this apartment could potentially be a perfect place for Chinese tourists visiting Fiji in the future."

"Dear Management, We check in late at night on 26/9/25 at around 11pm . Our booking and arrangement was made from Suva prior to our arrival in the hotel. We were serve by Reapi - she approach us in a very unproffessional way & making us wait on the foyer awaiting for the confirmation as there was no proper handover made internally. Her tone and attitude towards us was very unproffessional. This needs to be look into - customer service : also we are still waiting for receipt of our accomodation payment from Reapi Overall the room which we stayed in was OK and we love the food cooked by the cook for morning and night shift- kudos to the kitchen crew. Thank you to the team doing morning shift in the weekend"

"The hotel's location is great, with the only McDonald's in Nadi just downstairs, so you don't have to worry about food and drinks. It's quite convenient. The room was spacious. The bedding was fine and clean, but! The main issue was the bathroom! There were so many small cockroaches! I have no idea where they came from, it was horrifying! Absolutely disgusting!!"

"The location to the airport for late or early flights is really the only reason we stay, been there twice now and to be honest will probably not come back. The pool is the highlight of Gateway, and the staff are friendly. The room wasn't very clean when we arrived and we were unable to watch the TV as it wasn't in focus."
