Dong Li Gu Cun was the most wonderful experience we had in China, with comfortable rooms and delicious meals. The staff is highly receptive and warm, with very good tips for the trip, and attention to details. We felt in heaven, in a awesome scenic area, with the true Chinese spirit.
There are many options of activities throughout the village, from craftsmanship of chopsticks, porcelain, preparation of traditional food and beverages and much more. There are also many activities for children. Special thanks to Xia, Kay and Chen, for the cultural immersion and special attention, since we were the sole foreigners in the village.
We highly recommend the Li River Craftsmen in the Spring Festival if you want to have a traditional experience, and we regret to spend only 4 days there, because we would like to stay at least a whole week. We intend to return in the near future.

This is definitely a treasure hotel. Although it is a long-established hotel in downtown Guilin and the decoration is a bit old, it has an excellent location. It is on the bank of the Li River, adjacent to the vegetable market, hospital, and Bali Street Night Market Snack Street. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and independent of this place. Apart from the hustle and bustle, it is a quiet place in the middle of the hustle and bustle. More importantly, the geographical environment is such that the price is beautiful and very affordable. I really recommend it.

It would be nice if they could be repaired and replaced.

The hotel is located opposite the railway station in a remote location. But my choice was not accidental; I planned to be near the station. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The staff helped with excursions and found a guide in a short time. I must say that the owner of the cafe nearby played a huge role in helping the excursion. She found a Russian-Chinese translator and convinced the receptionist to connect all her channels to search for excursions. A very responsive and intelligent cafe owner. I found many hotels in the town and found that the sanitation was not clean. I saw this parent-child homestay at the B&B Hotel later, and the score was particularly high. We called to ask, and they were all full. Later, when there was a standard big bed room at nine o'clock, the landlord took us upstairs to see. GGuest UserVery nice stay experience. After seeing ginkgo from Ocean Township, I booked a meal with the boss first. When I arrived, I could have a hot dinner. The meal made by the boss was great and the price was very affordable. I had a chicken for dinner and a duck for Chinese food the next day. The quilt was clean and it was like the feeling of home that was mentioned in the previous review. A group of friends had a great weekend here! By the way, you can run around the island in the morning! Great!
