Pethers Rainforest Retreat

the most relaxing and peaceful hotel i’ve ever visited, ten minute drive from most places in mnt tambourine. Lovely and secluded rooms, really enjoyed my stay

Pethers was relaxing, peaceful & cosy. It was a romantic spot for our 36th wedding anniversary. Breakfast was small but actually perfect & quite enough for us. Check in was easy. Highly recommend .. some restaurants aren't open during the week which is understandable but there are many quaint & excellent places to dine Thursday's - Sundays.

Wonderful stay @ Pethers House. Dinner @ Pethers Lodge restaurant was excellent as were all the staff. Facilities & ambience were lovely with the rainforest backdrop. The coffee machine in Pethers House was appreciated by our guests. Thank you

The treehouse itself was spacious and comfortable. I definitely think a small kitchenette would make the space so much better, it is advertised as a rainforest “retreat” yet there are absolutely no facilities to cook or prepare even a basic meal. So you constantly had to leave the treehouse to get something to eat. Again the space was beautiful and the area was peaceful. I would strongly discourage anyone from adding any of the additional packages they offer. We went here for a small mini honeymoon. We got the romantic upgrade hoping to do something special… basically paid $130 for someone to poor water in the bath, drop some fake flowers and give us a bottle of bubbly. It was advertised as this grand extra- however was average at best. We went to the restaurant for dinner, the food was great so we thought, unfortunately my partner and I both got horrible runs from the crab we had and spent our first there basically on the toilet. We thought we maybe just had a bad run, we booked a couples massage, while pretty expensive it was a lovely experience. The therapist were professional and did a great job. Lastly, we had booked a beautiful picnic in the avocado orchard, it was an okay spread. However definitely took the romance out of the experience when while we were trying to have a nice relaxing picnic together, had one of the maintenance men walking around with a leaf blower, basically just blowing dust towards us and into the food. We couldn’t really talk over the sound. The breakfast provided was okay, it was average- definitely still left you a little hungry but it was enough to fill the hole until lunch. Overall I think we were disappointed, we couldn’t afford a big honeymoon but still wanted to treat ourselves at least a little bit. I think Pethers is all about over promising and under delivering. In hindsight, I think we would have preferred to book an airbnb and save our money.

This was our third trip to Pethers and it just keeps getting better. Clean, cosy and comfortable. There was a new chef in the restaurant so decided to try the new menu. We were not disappointed all 3 courses were amazing. This is well worth a visit

My fiance and I stayed here for our 8yr anniversary on the weekend and WOW .. it was so peaceful so quiet and extremely clean. All of the staff were very polite friendly and helpful. I requested a note to be put on the bed for our arrival and it was printed very nicely. Breakfast came right on time both mornings and was good but we would have Liked the yoghurt by itself rather then on top of muslie but other then that everything was Amazing. Definitely will go back!
