Catering was ill prepared to cater for the avalanche of guests but they adapted and it got better Reception on arrival was chaotic - you could have done better. We were not told to go to the other building for the penthouse, so went to Room 1202 in the hotel building, and had to move over to the other. No porter assistance ... but the Maintenance men were most helpful Maintenance in the penthouse was sorely needed - we did put in a report ... door keys didn't work, then stove wasn't working. Shocking in the two bedded rooms that the bathrooms are CLEAR glass giving n privacy !- and the SIZE compared to the rest of the suite were TOO small The toillet off the main living area blocked ... this was quickly and effectively sorted out I am also unhappy that the R3,000 taken off my credit card would take so long to be credited - to date nothnig has been received Outside the bargeboards are falling off. Overall the grand lady has not been well maintained and needs some TLC NB My rating of the value reflects the smaller double rooms
