"We stayed for 3 nights while in Morondava. Rooms were large and comfortable. In room safe, air conditioning, fan, blow dryer, free wifi (sometimes sporadic). Nice pool looking at the sea with lounger chairs and umbrellas. Easy access to the beach and watching locals. Some women stop by to sell wares. Security round the clock. Restaurant meals available. Dinner entrees 30,000, salad 20,000, alcoholic drinks, breakfast is 30,000 or under. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. You can build up a tab and pay with cc."

"Amazing hotel! Very secluded, but that makes it just as special. A 10-minute walk to a beautiful and quiet beach. The staff was super friendly. The bungalows were very clean and beautifully decorated. Hot water! The food was delicious! The best we had in Madagascar. Very beautiful pool and a cozy restaurant shaped like a boat. I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"I stayed at Palissandre cote d’Ouest for 2 nights as a base to visit the Avenue of Baobap and Kirindy forest. During planning stage reading reviews of this hotel I was a little worried about the place as I read about mosquitoes, complaints about food, cash only destination. I was worried because I could not find another hotel better to stay. When I got there, the place blew my mind away. In that remote Morondava, Palissandre cote d’Ouest is a « luxury » in its own way with 2 swimming pools, cabins with teak wood flooring with large bathroom with A/C. It has a nice gift store with high end products, a bar and 2 separate places to serve meals : one for lunch and breakfast , and one area for dinner. Entering the hotel is like entering an oasis. It is in front of the ocean. The beach was very nice. There is a place that the water was shallow due to a large sand bank. The beach in front of the hotel is a little away from other places thus there is privacy. The staffs are so helpful and friendly. The hotel takes credit card. Mosquitoes were insignificant or almost nil. I would come back in a heart beat to Pallisandre cote d’Ouest for a leisure stay by the sea."

"Only a short overnight stay in between two days of travel, but rooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom a bit basic - our shower head broke. Restaurant had a lot more range than other hotels in this region - offered local food as well as pizzas and a range of other styles, nothing special but good after several days in the bush. Wifi in the rooms worked well. Staff seemed helpful. Pool and a nice view of the sea with easy access to the beach. Overall, nicer than other hotels on this side of Madagascar."

Close to the sea, you can count on the gentle breeze to cool you down under the straw parasols.
