William Gray by Gray Collection

I love this hotel nestled in the heart of Old Montréal and Old Port. I had a great room with a wonderful corner view of Old Montréal, it’s rooftops, the Grande Roue and the little cafes and boutiques below. Room is very comfortable. I love the long modern working desk, the comfy lounge chair, plush bedding and above all the spa multi jet shower… Because of pandemic restrictions most of the amenities of the hotel were not accessible. The hotel has such a nice lounge and bar area but I couldn’t go there. The gym was also off limits. There is an outdoor courtyard that was advertised as open even in the winter with fire pits but it wasn’t accessible during my stay. My only complaint would be that my room was drafty but I also stayed on one of the coldest weekends of the year and I could adjust the heat in the room. I asked for a throw blanket to cuddle in while reading in the lounge chair. They brought me the cuddliest faux fur blanket, I was almost thankful for the draft. Can’t wait for my next opportunity to stay here. In my opinion, this hotel is more geared towards adults (solo/business/couples/adult getaways) rather than families with young children. It has a high-end, modern, chic vibe. However, I’m quite sure they would accommodate children too. Photos don’t do the view justice. They were taken during a snow storm with poor visibility. Under normal conditions, was really nice and at night, so beautiful with all the lights and illuminated Grande Roue.

Very nice room. Updated beautiful, marble washroom with shower and separate bath. Nice, big balcony with a view of the St-Lawrence river the Ferris wheel. Rooms were very quiet and sound proof. Staff were professional and helpful. I will stay there from now on when I visit Montreal!

Incredible hotel, stunning views, very personal service, very nice robes and coffee maker inside the room, amazing amenities (library and fireplace by the lobby have a very nice ambiance) for all guests the enjoy.

Our room was very nice however there could be more attention to the details. The toilet moved when sat on and there was some dental floss in the shower from a previous guest.

My mom and I went for a quick post-Christmas getaway and really loved our time at William Gray. It is perfectly located near Notre-Dame with lots of shopping and great places to eat. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The drinks and food at Maggie Oaks was SO GOOD (they have vegan options too). We also utilized the spa which was fabulous and I'd highly recommend it. I would love to return to William Gray for another stay.

The William Gray is an exceptional property in the center of Old Montreal. It is a modern high rise, but also is part of a centuries old building. We stayed in Room 210 which was a spacious corner room in the old building. It has a Terrasse with great views, a Steak Restaurant with Dry Aged Meats and Aficionado Wines, and a Common Area with a Pool Table and Bar. The Outdoor Pool is a Hot Tub style with Jets at one end. This is a good choice for Comfortable, Convenient, and Classy.

We had a great stay at the William Gray. Our room was modern and comfortable. We booked a deluxe room with balcony and it was a spacious with a desk and sofa. The shower was remodeled with a multifunction body spay. The restaurant Maggie Oakes was fantastic - excellent service and great value. We also loved the library bar with pool table. A few things to note: there is a cost to use the pool and there was no outlet in the bathroom of our room. Overall, we had a great stay and will come back.

This hotel is superb and very special. It has the perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxuries! The stone walls and double windows make it feel so cozy and olde, while the fab shower and le labo soaps are the best of now. Everyone on staff this week was remarkably friendly, helpful, cheerful, and proactive - will definitely be back.
