The absolute worst, dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed at. Blocked bathroom sink. Bathroom ceiling all patched. Bed sinks to the floor. Needed enhanced internet service but was told nothing we can do just use the public wifi like the rest of us do. Most of the help has been good. Wow. Stay somewhere else

Never again. We just returned home from a three night stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Montgomery to visit family. We chose it, as Platinum Elite Bonvoy members, because it was a convenient location, and we have stayed in some very nice Courtyards around the country. Upon check in, the front desk employee could not get the credit card reader to work. After several reboots, our card had to be entered manually. We were never offered a complimentary upgrade, nor was there any discussion about points bonus. The hallway carpeting throughout was worn and filthy. The room had peeling ceilings. The room itself was damp the entire stay. The bathroom floor never dried and was slippery. The towels were still soaked the following day. We didn’t request housecleaning the second day because we slept in. We did request housecleaning; at least fresh towels the following day, but when we returned at 2:00 pm to freshen up, housekeeping still had not come. We had to track down a housekeeper and insist on towels; which she eventually did, but never emptied the two full trash cans. One of the outside doors that required a key card to open didn’t work. On a better note, the staff at the Bistro was very attentive and helpful with the one breakfast we had. This place did not meet any standards we have come to expect from a Marriott Courtyard. We will be visiting family there again, but will certainly search for a better place to stay.

The lobby was nice enough. The pool are was nice. Beds were comfortable. The carpet all throughout the hotel was filthy. There were black spots on the carpet in our room. The tub/shower did not drain so you had to stand in water while showering. It was very humid in the room and we found black mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom and bedroom, which is a health issue. We had a balcony but it was dirty and just one chair. Entire hotel needs to be revamped. These hotels are typically nice and that’s why we choose them. Will never stay here again.

This hotel need to close down. It's unhealth, and overpriced. It was almost midnight when my husband and I arrived there; thought the reception was wasn't the best, we liked the front atmosphere and decided to take a break there for the rest of the night. We were shocked by the condition of the corridor/carpet heading to the elevator and wanted to retreat but decided it was too late. We have driven and stayed in many hotels within and out of the country, including some Courtyard hotels, but this one was the extreme! We have never seen such a filthy carpet, even the one at the corridor leading to the bedroom. While in the room we noticed the toilet was not flashing, with an empty tank, so we tried to call the reception, but the phone was dead! My husband had to walk to the reception to ask for service. The technician came and exchanged the intercom with another from a different room; he also fixed the toilet (temporarily); we had to keep waiting and trying to pump the toilet tank. But that was not all, it took more than 30 minutes for the water to clear/drain from the sink, so we brushing teeth and washing hands had to be done with a lot of consideration and waiting. While in the room we noticed the room had been sprayed to make it feel fresh, instead it was irritating and uncomfortable to inhale freely. We had to tolerate and got out of there early in the morning. There was no apology from any of the staff there or even after we left. This is not exaggerated; it was very disturbing to see that it's assumed okay to toss more than $100 and stay awake trying to solve known problems in a hotel. Please just TAKE ACTION! This hotel need to be closed.

Dirty, damaged, outdated hotel. Poor front desk staff. Parking lot was dark. Don’t stay here! So thankful we didn’t have children with us. Dirty washcloths and towels in the bathroom. Stained carpet. Gross, unmentionable things in the bathroom.

We needed a last minute stay on our road trip. We should have skipped this place. The room was so musty smelling and everything was wet/damp. The bed was soft and lumpy. Just not the standard we expect. The toilet didn’t flush consistently. There were weird things in the light in the bathroom. The bathroom light wasn’t bright enough to read the labels on shampoo and the bath wash. So I either washed with shampoo or bath wash. Would not stay here again, the room was gross. Looks like the smoke alarm was pulled off the wall and the latch for the slider was broken. The bathroom floor was sticky and wet due to the humidity in the room.

This was one of the worse experiences of my life. The carpet was filthy and the room reeked of a moldy, musty odor. I had to buy Glade plugins to mask the smell. I will be contacting the Alabama Health Department to investigate this matter.. I will never stay at Courtyard Montgomery, Alabama again, nor would I recommend to any human being.

The desk clerk at check in was awesome, very informative, and answered all our questions, especially about where's FOOD! ? 😀 In the morning we came out at 1015 to get coffee but, the bistro closed at 10 :-( Denise the GM) made us a fresh pot! 😁😁😁☕️☕️☕️ The front lady was also very nice 😀

If I could give this place a negative review I would. The front desk girl was so incompetent she probably couldn’t even tell you her own name. She didn’t greet anyone coming in or leaving. She put her AirPods in and started watching a video on her phone when we were trying to check in and wouldn’t answer question……… she just pointed towards things. Not to mention the pool in dookie green. DO NOT STAY HERE. The same girl was working when we checked out and couldn’t be found until I looks outside and saw her chillin on her phone. When we told her how unprofessional she was she said “well I was on the phone” like what? Save your money. And if you are staying there right now, it’s the girl working 5/25/24 (9:30pm)-5/26/24 (11:00am)

Do not go to this hotel.... they gave my room away to someone after i was already checked in. Went through my personal and work bag. Never recovered my Airpods !!! At Least I got my computer returned ..... :(:( Terrible and Unsafe Also the GM Cory doesnt return calls or messages so that great too!

Best Marriott experience! Staff is amazing! Front desk and at Bistro! Both girls made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Please keep the staff you have. An elite member so I’ve been to many… and again by far best welcoming and stay I’ve had with Marriott itself. Thank you.
