"Extremely disappointing experience with Elements Sifnos. For a hotel positioning itself at this level, the way this situation was handled was completely unacceptable. My partner originally made a reservation several months in advance for our anniversary. However, he never received any visible booking confirmation from the hotel and, importantly, there was no charge on his bank statement. With absolutely no apparent confirmation that the reservation had gone through, he reasonably assumed that the online booking had not been completed. As our trip approached and Sifnos was becoming fully booked, on August 3 he booked another hotel to make sure we had somewhere to stay. Only when we arrived in Sifnos did Elements suddenly call us asking what time we would be arriving for check-in. We were genuinely shocked. We explained that, as far as we knew, we had no confirmed reservation with them: no confirmation in the inbox and no payment had been taken. After investigating, we discovered that Elements only charged the reservation on August 5 — two days AFTER we had already booked another, non-refundable hotel. We even went to Elements in person before going to our actual hotel to explain the situation. Their explanation was that they had supposedly sent the confirmation email, but that it may have gone to spam. They themselves acknowledged that spam emails can automatically disappear after a certain period. For a five-star property and for a reservation involving a significant amount of money, I find this astonishing. A hotel should have a reliable booking process that ensures guests actually receive essential reservation information. If an important confirmation ends up in spam and subsequently disappears, while no payment is taken until months later, how exactly is a guest supposed to know with certainty that the reservation exists? What makes the situation even worse is how it was handled afterwards. The person at reception was initially understanding and acknowledged that this was clearly a misunderstanding. We were told that they understood the situation and would do everything possible to obtain a refund. In the end? Nothing. The hotel simply refused to refund us. So we ended up paying for two nights at Elements despite never staying there, following a situation that could have been avoided with a clearer and more reliable booking and confirmation process. We fully understand what a non-refundable booking means. That is not the point. The issue is that we had no reasonable indication that the original reservation had actually been confirmed, and the hotel did nothing commercially to resolve an obvious and documented misunderstanding — even after initially giving us the impression that they would help. For an establishment claiming five-star standards, we expected professionalism, effective communication and at least some consideration for the circumstances. "Nos takes hospitality to another level and is breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with stunning views. The grounds seem to have every detail accounted for and the view from the gym is not to be missed. One of the most surprising amenities they offered was custom pillow selections which I loved. Overall, it is a 10/10 but is also very expensive. Going in off season was worth it but I’m not sure I’d pay their peak pricing."

"Neat and tidy! Small snacks are also given. The location is very good. The pier is right outside the door. There is a fruit shop and supermarket at the door. You can rent a car or eat in the surrounding area. There is a meeting point for entertainment projects not far away. The swimming pool is closed in winter, but the owner is very nice! The boss had already locked the door after I had left my things that day, but he came back to open the door. Finally, I picked up the clothes I had left behind and caught the boat! Thanks again!"

"What a beautiful 4 night stay here. The business is family owned and run and they were amazing, helpful with island information and very accommodating. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. The location was perfect. It is a nice quiet part of the island and is an easy 10 min flat walk to restaurants, bakeries and the local mini mart. They have their own car hire @ reasonable rates with available parking across the road if you prefer as we did. It made it so much easier getting around the island."

"Such a special place in a great location near the port, but very private. A 10 minute walk to either a beach or downtown restaurants & shopping. It was nice to have a car to explore the island for a day or two, but not needed to get around this Port area. Staff could not have been more helpful - anything we needed for the room or transportation was handled immediately. Front desk was amazing! Pool area was lovely & welcomed after a busy day. The only drawback was the bar - although poolside & pretty, they were quite frugal with their 'pours' and yet expensive. BYOB perhaps? We were in the suites, so instead of a buffet, we were able to order anything we wanted for breakfast. That was the best, homemade fresh food enjoyed on our terrace with an oceanview! We would definitely return to this pretty place."
