Premier Inn Merthyr Tydfil ★★★

"Superb stay for our Brecon Beavons hike. Staff were welcoming and helped us any way they could - including ensuring we had breakfast before a long hike! Thank you! Hotel was quiet and a good sleep. Co-op supermarket nearby which was actually big and well stocked! Only an hour from Cardiff."

James' Place at Dowlais ★★★★

"Stayed for one night in line with work and had everything I required. Nice studio flat, much better and more homely than a hotel room… Information provided re places to visit, where to eat was very good, but I can say that the New Dolphin fish and chips shop just down the road (1 min walk) was lovely."

Bessemer Hotel ★★★

"I would like to express my sincere thanks to Michael for the outstanding service he provided during my stay. As a disabled guest, the little things can make a huge difference, and Michael went above and beyond to understand and accommodate my needs. He didn’t just do his job—he took the time to listen, showed genuine care, and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel valued as a customer rather than just another guest. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Please pass on my gratitude and recognition to Michael. He is a real credit to your hotel and an excellent example of the high standard of service every guest hopes to receive. Also a big thank you to the rest of the staff I had the pleasure to meet, reception staff, night staff and the cleaner. All was helpful."
