"The hotel was very bad, the stars seemed to have come from space, it was not clean at all and the toilet in the room we stayed in was not working, they did not do anything they said, they asked for our phone number when we left the hotel and gave their own hotel 5 stars, do not be fooled by the good comments and I do not recommend you to stay there."

Sultasa Hotel

"The Sultasa Hotel in Mersin can, at best, be described as 'adequate'. The Sultasa is an old hotel that is in reasonable condition however there are areas of it that require attention. On arrival none of the staff present were English speaking which made checking in quite long winded and difficult. Quite probably due to the language issue, I was not given the option of staying in a non-smoking room. As a non-smoker I therefore found the stale smoke-smelling bedding and aircon very unpleasant. Furthermore, other guests of the hotels found it necessary to slam their doors shut in the early hours of the morning (1-2am). I would not recommend this hotel to any first-time travellers to Mersin. The benefits of the lower cost versus the Hilton etc were lost relative to the (low) quality of the experience at the Sultasa."

Akdeniz Hotel

"The staff were friendly, but the bathroom water didn't drain at all, so I couldn't shower. The towels, pillow covers, and sheets (crumpled) needed to be cleaned."

"A memorable hotel to remember, clean and tidy, good breakfast, depending on the staff, one of them was a bit grumpy, but the rest were kind, a lady baked us bread with vegetables in the morning, and special thanks to the young Syrian man. We had a room facing the sea for three nights, and because we liked it so much, my wife Gilda said we should stay another night, but because it coincided with Eid al-Fitr and the hotel was crowded, they changed the room. In the end, it was a great time. Farshad"

Navona Hotel

"The hotel is on a busy street with lots of shops but not too busy to drive in and out of the hotel. We could walk to restaurants, Small supermarkets, stores, banks, pharmacies, and the seaside walk from the hotel. While the building is a little older, the amenities were very well maintained and updated. Elevators, bathrooms, AIR CONDITIONING, the pool, etc were all in very good conditions. The staff were most amazing, courteous, and very helpful. The breakfast services is an experience not to be missed. If you did not like anything about the hotel, you will forget about when you show up for the breakfast (cost was included in our room price.) I did not have energy to use exercise facility (hot, lots of walking, other things to do..) but I did not see or read about one in the hotel. The pool was nice and scarcely used. If you must have a gym then go with another hotel, otherwise stick with this one. You won’t regret it."
