Having read the reviews we were a bit dubious as to what the hotel would be like. However we were more than happy with it. Check in all good, staff very friendly & helpful. The room was a bit dated but the beds, pillows all very comfy & clean. Large reception area which is all decorated nicely. We got vouchers for the breakfasts which was a nice surprise & they were very good. We also had an evening meal which again was fab & good value for money. Both served in the King & Union. Location great!

The hotel was more than what we could have expected! Staff was nothing short of amazing! Landryn was absolutely the most kind and courteous front desk clerk I've ever experienced! His customer service exceeded our expectations! Clean and friendly people all over the hotel. We will be back! Rate the place a 10

As a traveler, I would not recommend this hotel until major changes are made. Check in process was excellent. I get to the room and the refrigerator freezer was feoEn shut. The refrigerator had so much dust on it, I could write my name on it. The room phone did not work at all. I had to make several calls with my cell phone to the front desk. The two elevators didn’t work fully, only one for guests. Needless to say, I was pissed being my spouse is disabled. The eatery was trash. There were no silverware, the $14.95 buffet was not worth it. For what was on the buffet, we could have paid less at McDonald’s and had better. The television didn’t work, my mother n law had to be moved because the television didn’t work at all. Oh, let me add, they never told us about the additional charge of $50/day for incidentals and when I asked about it, I was told it allows you to order and charge things to our room. On check-out day, housekeeping started knocking on the door at 830am, “ma’am, check out is 11am”. The location is great.

A lovely hotel just down the road from Beale street. The rooms were spacious and clean. Showers were perfect lovely reception with bar and restaurant. Just down road from Peabody Hotel where the ducks come out every day at 11am n 5pm on red carpet. Very famous.

Staff at East Memphis Double Tree by Hilton go above and beyond. From our first contact via phone with Valerie, the drivers of the complimentary shuttle bus and then at check-in with Precious. During our 3 night stay Precious also provided knowledgeable information on all our inquiries and was an absolutely delightful to deal with. All reception staff very pleasant and very approachable. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed and pillows very comfortable. Attractive pool area was within view from our room. When we had TV issue we had a knock on our door within 5 mins. After trying hard to resolve the issue, we were offered a room swap. They really do aim to make guests feel at home. The location was perfect for us and within a short walk to a large whole foods supermarket where you can also purchase freshly cooked dishes. From this location we drove to Graceland and The Pyramid. Highly recommended.

Nice downtown location a few blocks from Beale. You could tell it was time for an update. My door had a few coats of paint on it and was open when I arrived. The room was smaller but worked. Could have used a deep cleaning. It faced the ballpark across the street and the lights shined all night, something to note. Valet service was good, digital payment was easy. If you need a reasonable stay downtown, this will work.
