Hotel Villa Volpi

Loads of good points : Location, quietness, rooms, fabulous pools, staff, particularly the staff working in restaurant. Things that stopped me giving 5 stars, breakfast, reasonably high quality just a bit serve yourself which doesnt fit in with rest of service. The owner, definitely a bit hit and miss with us and other guests. Sometimes charming occasionaly brusque, his wife who checked us in was utterly charming. As for getting there, taxis are cheaper if you book yourself, 30 euro as opposed to 50 into Lucca. It's a reasonable cycle up from the main valley, but great views. Would stay again for the ambience and pool.

What can I say, it’s just fantastic. Marco, who owns the place is so welcoming, the staff are great, the guests are all very friendly. The pool is absolutely perfect. Yes it’s cool water, but it’s all clean, inside and out. Lots of lovely chairs to recline in also. We have two girls, both usually complain they are bored, not a word from either of them and we are 5 days here so far ! :) It’s a villa hotel, so you get that sense when you arrive, but honestly so what :). The rooms are all nice, we had one on the ground floor, meaning we had our own terrace, we also had the option to go out the back straight to the pool. The views here are simply amazing, I can’t even put into words how amazing the views are. You really do get a sense you are taking a break. The atmosphere here is so good, you just get that wonderful sense of relaxation. You really do unplug :) Now for food: You have breakfast at 0830 - 0930. It’s the usual coffee, tea, cakes, croissants, and a selection of fruits. A buffet, and it’s more than fine. For lunch it’s between 13:00 - 14:00 either a light bruschetta, or you can ask the staff and they will make a pasta dish for the kids if required:). We have one very fussy eater, she has so far eaten everything served! For dinner it’s usually between 2030 - 2230 but if your feeling hungry sooner no problem the staff can make you something nice :) Drinks wise, there is a bar there, you can order wines, champagne, Prosecco, spirits etc, and of course all the usual soft drinks also :) There are taxis you can order also to Lucca, or Pisa if you want to explore, ideally though I would advise renting a car if you can. Again a fabulous place, great staff, amazing views. Above all though, it recharges your soul !

Come da titolo. Location con una discreta posizione in collina anche se l’esposizione a mio avviso non è il massimo. Per arrivarci non è banale ed inoltre la villa è molto lontana da tutte le principali attrazioni , veramente risulta una spedizione punitiva andare in città. Ristrutturazione non impeccabile ma la cosa che lascia più costernati è stata la gestione del personale che definirlo sottodimensionato è un complimento ! Confermo pareri negativi di altri recensori in merito alla gestione della location che tranquillamente perdibile rispetto alle molte valide maison della zona. NON CONSIGLIO

Posto incantevole immerso nel verde delle colline intorno a Lucca, situato in altezza , dove si gode di una fresca aria e un silenzio incredibile. Proprietario molto simpatico e propenso a socializzare con i propri clienti facendoli sentire a casa propria . Piscina con bordo a sfioro con panorama mozzafiato . Camera grandissima e letto comodissimo (stanza 73) . Parcheggio comodo e colonnina di ricarica per auto elettriche . Siamo state in occasione del concerto dei Duran Duran e torneremo sicuramente per altri eventi in questa splendida struttura . Unico consiglio (non critica) migliorare la colazione per il resto semplicemente perfetto .

Siamo stati a soggiornare in un week-end di luglio in questa struttura. Location molto bella ma solo quella. Assenza totale di personale sia per gestire il ristorante che il bar inesistente e buio. Signore/ proprietario reception tra le nuvole..Sembrava che non ci fosse quasi nessuno a gestirla..sembrava si gestisse da solo l'agriturismo..un po' spettrale dati anche i piccoli cimiteri attorno..

Cosa dire di una simile location semplicemente ottima stupenda la visita molto accogliente la struttura cucina semplice e molto buona...personale cortese e disponibile è stato un soggiorno perfetto...............................vino di lori produzione super..
