When we first arrived, I was greeted by the very nice security officer who informed me the employee was on a break. So, I had to wait to check in. When the employee returned from break, he was very pleasant and got us checked in. When we got to ‘our’ room, I opened the door, and there is a man in there! That was so scary for both us and the other guest. We went back to the desk, the employee did try to apologize and give us a coupon for breakfast, but we declined. We finally arrive to an empty room. The bathroom had a towel balled up on the floor. Hair in the sink and tub, and the tub backed up when trying to shower. The shower gel had clumps in it, like it had been sitting for quite sometime. There was even a wadded up dryer sheet in the floor. The heat barely worked and made an awful noise. We needed ice. We were on the 8th floor. We had to go to every floor until the 4th floor finally had ice. Needless to say, no sleep was had. This is the most awful experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. We usually stay at Double Tree when we travel, but I think, that will be changing. We paid good money to rest, and it was a waste of time and money.
