South Wind Guesthouse

By all means, visit the lovely fishing harbor at Masaxlokk, Malta and stay at the locally owned South Wind Guest house, 1/2 block from the beautiful harbor. I give it a 9 out of 10. Everything was perfect during our stay. New interior with shiny marble floors, spacious bedrooms and new bathrooms with high-quality new sink, shower and toilet. Everything worked perfectly, lots of hot water and good drains. The cleanest hotel I’ve ever visited. You could eat off of the floor. Giant comfortable bed and good pillows linens and towels clean and fresh. Good TV. Coffee and cookies in room. Breakfast was amazing with large variety!! Way more than anyone could ever eat. Staff extremely profession, attentive, efficient, courteous and helpful. Best part was the extremely low price, when we visited in Feb. I gave it 9/10, because our room lacked a view of the harbor or a balcony, but I think some rooms have views and there is an outside dining terrace.

Everything is very good! Recommendations! The apartments are very good. Recommendations. In a good location, the admin is kind and helpful, a beautiful view from the window. Excursion buses, a bus from/to the airport. Everything is very convenient.

Very comfortable and clean room, all building looks fresh and clean, almost all staff was nice. Unfortunately room window was dark and looked on neighbours window, no balcony in room. And breakfast was repetitive. But anyway I recommend this guest house! Special thanks to Madeleine and smiley cleaning lady!

I had a fantastic stay here, with everything I needed close by. The cozy fishing village nearby added so much charm, and the amenities were spot on. I loved being just steps away from great dining, local bars, and a beautiful old church. The sea was just a short stroll away, ideal for a refreshing dip. All in all, it was a perfect getaway!

We had an enjoyable week here, a good place for a quieter stay in Malta. The guest house is just off the promenade which is full of cafes and restaurants, but is very peaceful (apart from church bells, but I rather like those). Our room was on the top floor and had a small balcony from which you can stand and see the harbour at the side. There is also a larger terrace with tables and chairs for everyone to use with a view of the top of the church which is great for breakfast and to sit in the evening. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, breakfast had a good selection of cereals, bread, cakes, fruit, cheese and cold meat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at South Wind Guesthouse. The room was spotless, as was the terrace with outdoor futniture and great view over the bay. The accommodation is in a super location within walking distance of restaurants, daily market, bus stops and taxi stands. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful proving sightseeing tips, local restaurant tips and answering all questions with a smile. Would book again if in the area.
