"It's the centrally located hotel, quite typical for B&B chain in Europe + Modern and clean rooms + Reasonable price tag + Good Wi-Fi connection - Small rooms, mine was without windows - The aircon didn't work in my room upon the arrival, so had to change the room - the staff didn't help much - No bathroom hood, so it was always wet and humid in the room"

"Nice place to stay in Maribor. Cozy breakfast at the cafeteria. If you like also to test cakes, coffee, tea is the right place... Parking space available on a quiet street in the back. Bakery and pizza on the other side of the street. 1 minute drive to comercial centre. Great value. "

"Beware - Shower produces scalding, burning hot water. The hotel cannot supply water to the showers constantly at the correct temperature. Suddenly the water goes very hot, all by itself, for a few seconds. Because of this, it is impossible to have a relaxed shower. I was told by the staff that the "hotel is trying to fix the issue" but this might simply mean the hotel needs to spend money on modernising the water temperature controls The fittings in my room were also outdated, and the telephone didn't seem to work Apart from this the hotel is OK. The breakfast is pretty decent"

"Our stay at Hotel Arena in Slovenia was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The setting alone is breathtaking — right at the base of the ski slope, with stunning mountain views and immediate access to the outdoors. The location truly couldn’t be better. The hotel itself is gorgeous — beautifully designed, warm, and welcoming. The beds were incredibly comfortable (some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling!), and every space felt thoughtfully curated and peaceful. What made the stay even more special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to help. You feel cared for the moment you arrive. And the food — truly delicious. Every meal felt fresh, beautifully prepared, and satisfying. It elevated the entire experience. The front desk staff even took a special trip to town to get postcards for my daughter. Just above and beyond in every way. Also, the spa is beautiful and the massages are great and affordable. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty, comfort, warmth, and excellent cuisine, Hotel Arena is a gem. We left feeling restored and already planning our return. Highly, highly recommend."

"The hotel has been refurbished since my previous stay.I liked the 1980s styling of the reception and breakfast areas,but this is now replaced by cheaper materials which may suit more “ modern” tastes,but is in no clear sense an improvement.My room (large;a suite) had however,undergone a definite upgrade ,with new carpet and bathroom fittings.I was very pleased to have a large bath and really useful basin.The excellent wardrobe and other furniture had survived the re-vamp. The new beds were long and comfortable,although the sheets were too small.Likewise,the provision of towels was a little sparse. There was a fridge ( empty) ,and effective air conditioning.I was surprised not to find a kettle or coffee machine in a four star hotel. Breakfast was of a good standard in all respects. Service at other times was a little lacking.There was a bar,but with restricted hours,and no source of hot drinks in the evening. With some management changes this could be an excellent hotel,especially in view of the pleasant quiet location near the delightful walk up Piramida Hill."
