"This hotel offered a good location, only about a 5-minute walk to thr Amazonas Theatre and Sao Sabastiao Cathedral and a nice plaza to go people watching and have a nice meal. The Tambaqui de Banda is a great place to dine for lunch or dinner with outdoor seating with a good view of the plaza. But you'll have to take a taxi to the meeting spot for the Amazon boat adventure with the meeting spot at the municipal market Adolph Lisboa at a retaurant/cafe called Coreto. It'll cost you about 15 reales. Taxi to the airport costs between 75-80 reales. As for the room, it was big and spacious with good air conditioning and functioning WiFi. The service was hit or miss. I really like the young man Eves who welcomed me the way in a hospitable manner and was very helpful. I didn't care for the service of the two young ladies who gave perfuntory service, just ok. Breakfast was also ok, but lunch/dinner options were better. I really liked the steak with onions. Overall, this is a good place to stay for your adventure in Manaus!"

"The room rate is relatively low compared to the surrounding area, and the restaurant offers a fairly abundant supply. However, there is no kettle in the room, and the bottled water provided in the refrigerator is chargeable. If you want hot water, you have to ask the restaurant, and they will kindly boil water for you."

"This is a hotel in the middle of town, very close to the Opera House. We spent one night here before heading up to our Rio Nego stay. The rooms are decent size, clean, comfortable with good quiet AC. The room had a mini-fridge, updated bathroom with shower head heated by AC for hot water, typical in Brazil. Good breakfast with many pastries/breads. Friendly staff with some speaking English. On the bad side, there is a minimal of outlets and no USB for charging. A EU converter is necessary for US type plugs. No microwave or coffee in the room. Surprisingly, no shampoo. The TV streaming frequently lags and the street outside can be loud until around 11pm, when it quiets down considerably. "Travelling with my son. We absolutely love this place. It has the feel of a boutique gallery hotel. We are so happy with our room. Nr 5. It's spacious and has so much character. It's quiet. The service and attention to our needs is impeccable. The breakfast room is absolutely wonderful. The buffet is small but has enough variety. If you want something that's not there like freshly made scrambled eggs..not a problem just ask for it. The rooftop terrace is a sanctuary on it's own. Overlooking the Plaza and to the right the Manus theatre. Great location! Diverse food opportunities around."
