the niu Mood hotel is a solid choice when spending some nights in Mainz - the property, common areas and bedroom are very clean. The staff is very nice and helpful and a bus station connection to the central station or city center is a 3 minutes walk away (although the location is not close to any supermarkets or restaurants nearby) However, it is worth a stay!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. They will give you a free drink coupon if you are willing to pass on your room being cleaned each morning. This is great because the only negative thing about the hotel is that the train station is the closest place to get coffee or food. It’s not far, but it is better if you can have coffee right after waking up.

Very suitable for short stays, such as business trips. The location is good (central), but not perfect, as it's a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Staff is so-so, but at least they try hard. Room is very small, but nice. There's no desk, which is a clear disadvantage for business travelers. The breakfast is actually quite good, but unfortunately, they've drastically increased their prices in the last few months. By 70%, from €10 to €17! That's steep. If you book spontaneously in the morning, it's even €19. I find that almost cheeky.

The accommodation itself was quite good, clean and about 10 minutes walk from the main train station. Breakfast included sausage, eggs etc. and a pancake machine. You have to register for this though and the staff there were somewhat untrained or they argued a bit "for fun"... The hotel cannot issue an invoice for Trip.com bookings.

Wifi was not good, there was no phone to call reception, there was no bar in the room, no kettle. But it was very clean and comfortable
