Premier Inn Macclesfield South West

Stayed at this Premier Inn for one night, this weekend. We have stayed here previously and have been impressed. However, not so, this time. The room didn't look to have been cleaned properly and, if we had been staying longer, we would have complained. The skirting boards and some of the lower reaches of the furniture were covered in a thin film of dust and the carpet definitely hadn't been properly vacuumed. There were several largish pieces of, what looked like, biscuits in various areas. We couldn't believe there were only two teabags in the room, either. We had a cuppa before bed but then couldn't have another, the following morning. Someone has told us since, there are usually teabags to help yourself to at Reception but we weren't told this when we booked in. Another gripe was the lack of hot water at the wash basin. Even after running it for ages, the water only ever ran lukewarm. Thankfully, the shower was lovely and hot. Oh yes! The bathroom was really cold, too. We have always slept really well in the Premier beds but the mattress certainly didn't feel anywhere near as comfortable as the usual Hypnos quality. I've just Googled, to see if they're still using Hypnos and, apparently, they're not. Such a shame. I have noticed a few reviews saying quite a lot of noise had been experienced from outside. Happily, we found our room (ground floor, next to the car park) to be perfectly quiet. For one hundred pounds, we found our visit to this particular hotel, sadly lacking, this time and won't be staying or recommending again.

I stayed at this hotel as it was the closest one to the office I had to be in for a week and regretted my decision so much that I cut short my pre-paid booking and stayed elsewhere. Every night there was constant noise from 9pm to 4am. One day, at 1:30am someone took a call in their room then proceeded to have a shouting match for the next 30 minutes along the corridor, down the stairs and outside. I was staying in the area for work but, due to the lack of sleep over consecutive days, found it challenging to concentrate in the office hence finding somewhere else to stay. Avoid.

We stayed here for a family funeral nearby. The room was ok but the food and restaurant were the worst I have ever experienced.

Excellent stay as usual. Good value for money and professional staff. Was checked in by the manager Lewis on Sunday 2nd at 6pm, saw him throughout the night whilst I popped in out for a cigarette and then he was still here in morning when I departed on Monday 3rd at 10:30am all I can say is WOW that lad has got stamina, dedication and strong work ethic. He did not lack grace and decorum I saw him assisting in the restaurant which was nice to see and he just appeared to be very happy. The room was lovely and clean, the food in the restaurant was superb and great portion size. Only down side was hotel does look like Whitbread forgot they own it. But not the fault in the staff. See you all again soon.

Excellent service from the team throughout the stay Friendly staff Also left my hair straightener's behind in the room and i contacted Rehan who promptly found them and posted them back to me FOC I wasn’t expecting them to offer to go out of their way to help me . Excellent service

Location - perfect. Features and facilities - just what you would expect. Maybe it's not the most modern Premier Inn, but it fulfils a role.

This Inn, while not being luxurious, gave exactly what was expected from Premier Inn, but a little bit more; not huge but quiet and away from town and the welcome from Chloe on reception made it feel like home from home. Well done her!

Absolutely a no no! Shocking service evening meal breakfast and bar service !! Avoid at all costs !! Very noisy throughout night and car park was stinking with large puddles dirty water with large leaves and sludge blocked off and had to try and park around it Never ever again ! Avoid

Family room much more spacious than I had expected. Cleanliness could not be faulted. Beds very comfortable. Service good. Food of a high standard available on site in cosy country pub.
