SHADY Hotel goves me a unique experience. First, the staff and the manager is really kind and helpful, they are always willing to help you. However in my room, the toilet flush is not working. But i recommend this hotel for people who want a cheap hotel to stay in Luxor

The manager of this hotel forced me to made new booking for my girlfriend, event i already pay, and for the breakfast terrible and attitude of the manager of the hotel very bad, sorry for that, this my honest experience during stay at Shady Hotel

not clean, dirty sheets and towel. air conditioning not working properly. however the hotel is well positioned.

Nice friendly hotel. The staff were happy to help with anything. Central location for everything! Brilliant for sightseeing on a budget. Relax by the pool x recommend this hotel nice room nice people.

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. That being said, for the price, the room surpassed my expectations, in cleanliness and organisation. However, the staff was probably the best part, they helped us book various services in Luxor, including hot air balloon ride. They were very friendly and helpful, and I definitely recommend Shady Hotel as a place to stay for cheap if it is your first time in Luxor.

They force you to pay dinner, sink really dirty and I won’t even think to come back

When I came to Luxor, I booked this hotel through my travel agent and I don't regret my choice. I'll recommend it again, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. If I come back to Luxor, I'll go there again.

Mr. Ali and Abdullah, as well as the complete hotel staff takes care of us on all aspects. They are super friendly, that make you feel like they are your family. They provided us the best options possible for visiting so many places in few days at the best price. They really made as feel very comfortable… you can trust them very quickly. For sure I fully recommend Shady Hotel in Luxor, they exceeded my expectations!!!

The hotel room is cheap. That is the only bright spot. The room is pathetic, with everything old and some not usable. The bed is okay. The bathroom is barely usable. The carpet has not been vacuumed for ages. The only towel that was put on the bed has stains on it. There is no daily cleaning service. I stayed for two nights, only because another hotel cancelled the booking.

Good hotel, fun city to be in. Fun things to do all around and hotel in centralized location. Breakfast was simple but very good and I enjoyed it. We had a fun experience seeing a bat in the lobby which was fun.

Clean, friendly staff, simple but adequate breakfast. There was briefly a bat downstairs when we left for our hot air balloon trip at 3AM, but the staff took care of it. As I’m sure you’re already aware, I think it is best to find the deals (for activities in Luxor, and Egypt in general) in person instead of making the mistake of booking everything ahead of time. This will allow you to not overpay and you can then tip more generously. We make the mistake of paying 3 times what we should have on a couple of things because we booked ahead of time with a local travel agency planner in Cairo. This hotel offered good prices though (about $38 dollars a night, if I remember correctly, including breakfast). Would recommend.
