I have been living in China for 20 years.. and I must admit that I was impressed by this hotel! There is a bit of space for improvement (such as being able to serve some drinks at evening) but the decoration and the work done in this Tulou is impressive.. and very beautiful! And located in the middle of a restored area, very nice to walk at night

Excellent hôtel! Even prior to our arrival and throughout our stay, the team has been very helpful with sightseeing information, ticket booking, driver’s reference etc. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxed atmosphere of this typical tulou, and the comfort of a very nice hotel. We had a very nice, clean, bright and large loft bedroom with a shower and 2 double beds. Electric pads were available, should the weather required it. The location is perfect: walking distance to all the village’s tulou.

Spacious room. Many restaurants nearby. Within walking distance from tulous. Nice staffs, also helped us find an English-speaking tour guide.

Mr Chao was a great help who went above and beyond to make sure our travels to and from the accommodations was smooth. He also personally showed me where to buy dinner and what entertainment options were available. Service was professional, yet warm and hospitable

I believe this hotel is the biggest and most beautiful in the area. It is completely in accordance with the Tulou vibe, making it a great place for pictures. The room itself is quite big, with a nice view of the inside of the hotel. The staff was kind enough to confirm all the details one day prior our arrival. Hence, we were able to sort out the missing details and arrive and leave with no delays. I would definitely recommend this place if you are already going to this part of Tulou.

We stayed in this clean well managed hotel during our stay in Xiamen. The staff was friendly and most helpful to make our stay so memorable. We wish we had stayed a few more days to enjoy the wonderful service. Will certainly come back to enjoy the hospitality and good service of Du Lv Hotel 👍

Amazing location, beautiful architecture and interior design in a well and respectfully renovated tulou. Very clean. Staff took care of warming up the room while we were away. Very nice staff who took time to communicate and help us find drivers besides language barrier. Great local food. Loved our stay ! Highly recommended !

Our family of three, with our 13-year-old son, checked into the Dulu Yongding Tulou Shenghenglou World Heritage B&B in the Hongkeng Tulou Scenic Area. We chose the Begonia Courtyard and stayed for two nights. The courtyard is near the earthen buildings, the environment is quiet, the rooms are clean and tidy with a faint wood fragrance, the layout is simple but warm, the bed is moderately soft and hard, and it is very comfortable to sleep in. The homestay retains the traditional style of the earth building. There is a tea table in the yard and calligraphy and paintings on the wall. We all like to sit there and rest. The breakfast is a local set meal. The owner prepared Hakka-style rice noodle soup, taro buns and fried eggs. The taste is homely and authentic, and the portion is large. Even my picky son is happy to eat it. The shop owners are very enthusiastic and their sincerity can always be felt during the chat. On the first day, they bought us tickets for the Tulou folk performance. The performance was wonderful and my son enjoyed it very much. The owner also helped to contact a local tour guide, who took us to visit the Zhencheng Building, Chengqi Building and other earth buildings. The explanations were so detailed that even my son was fascinated. In terms of transportation, the owner helped us arrange a chartered car from the scenic area to the Gaobei Tulou Group. The driver was familiar with the route and shared many Hakka stories on the way, saving us a lot of trouble. The two-day itinerary was full and not rushed. The owner also kindly reminded us to bring an umbrella and water to cope with the weather changes in the mountains. My son was particularly curious about the structure of the earth building, so the owner even took him to see the rammed earth walls of the building and patiently answered his questions. Overall, this accommodation experience made our family feel warm and comfortable, just like staying in a friend's home. The tranquil atmosphere of Haitang Courtyard, the attentive service of the owner, and the authentic Hakka customs all left us with wonderful memories.

The B&B is also a remodeled Tulou with a strong earthy smell. Because it is a wooden structure, there is a creaking sound when walking. Overall, it has local characteristics. It is a pity that the Tulou construction technology has been lost.

I was so satisfied with the trip to Longyan that I stayed in a Tulou B&B on the first night to experience the local life. This is the best B&B in the Prince Scenic Area. The entire Tulou was converted into more than a dozen rooms. The decoration is very good and clean, with a light smell of wood. The lobby view is also very good. The boss's service is thoughtful and satisfactory.

The reception was very good, the location was good, right in the scenic area, quiet in the bustling area. This is a hotel transformed from a century-old earth building. We originally booked it for this design. Advantages: It is located in the Tulou Prince Scenic Area and perfectly integrated with the ancient village. Disadvantages: First, parking is required to enter the scenic area after dark (the parking lot outside the scenic area charges 10 yuan). Before dark, you can only take the scenic area tour bus and cannot reach the hotel (there is still a 300-meter winding journey), or walk in, which is very inconvenient for first-time travelers with large luggage; after dark, you have to find a place to park on the side of the village road, not at the door of the hotel. The hotel staff said that it was difficult to communicate with the scenic area (villagers) about parking, and they were helpless about it. Second, the hotel location guidance was unclear. Although the hotel staff added my WeChat in the morning, they only sent the location of the scenic area tourist service center (not the gate of the scenic area). It was a mess here during the Spring Festival. We were still confused about how to get to the hotel when we arrived at the tourist center (perhaps because our exploration ability was limited), and it rained when we went there, and we couldn’t find a parking space in the parking lot. There was only one Northeast brother on duty at the hotel. At our request, he came out to help us guide us to the real gate of the scenic area to park and help carry the luggage to the hotel. Third, you need to buy a scenic spot ticket to go to the hotel, which costs 90 yuan per person, which is not friendly to tourists who have already seen the earth building and just want to stay. Fourth, the hotel supplies are not complete, such as lack of bathroom mats, towels, etc. Fifth, there is dirt accumulation in the corners of the indoor stairs, and there are large stains on the floor and stairs that have not been cleaned. The second, fourth, and fifth points may be due to the lack of service staff during the Spring Festival, which is understandable, but the first and third are really flaws. In short, for tourists who want to experience living in a earth building, no matter how bad the hardware and objective environment here are, it is still a rare experience.
