The attached garage is a significant advantage, particularly considering the prevalence of car vandalism in Long Beach. While the rooms lack a touch of luxury, they offer a decent accommodation experience with firm beds. The bathrooms show a hint of age, yet nothing too dramatic. The lobby provides complimentary food and drinks, enhancing the overall experience. In summary, the hotel serves its purpose effectively. I plan to consider it again for my next visit to Long Beach."

"Wow. We love the staff and our experience. Room: The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There are great blackout curtains on both sides of the bed that can charge the device. Staff: On our first night, a gentleman checked in for us, his service and attitude was the best and very welcoming. The staff wanted to work here and I felt very welcome and valued as a guest. Even if you don’t have activities to attend in Long Beach, I will stay here and travel further afield to participate in what you’re going to do! We will definitely be back :)"

"This was our 2nd year of attending Dark Harbor. We had a larger room this year with a harbor view. The negative things were the amenities. Last year there were no amenities whatsoever and bed bugs. I contacted the management team and let them know what had happened. I was assured that we would be compensated for the problem. Not only were we not compensated but we actually paid more for our room. We are not new to the Halloween 🎃 event. We attended the Shipwreck events the first 10 years it was open with our kids and friends. I am very disappointed that you misrepresented your care of returning passengers. Other than that we are looking forward to next year."

"Long Beach's tourism industry is sluggish, relying entirely on cruise ship traffic. The Maya Hotel is close to the cruise terminal, but it's not walkable. Call ahead to book a free shuttle. Prepare a tip for the driver, about $1 per person, and they'll even give you a free ride to the Long Beach Downtown Aquarium and Pier Outlets. The hotel has a unique layout, and while the exterior is a bit dated, the rooms are quite nice, with high ceilings, electronically controlled double-layered curtains, and stunning bay views. It's a truly wonderful experience."
