Classic Pub/Inn with very friendly staff and simple, elegant, functional, nicely appointed rooms. Space was not overly large but quite comfortable and fine for online work in the room. There is no "lift" so be prepared to haul your luggage up stairs. Didn't get a chance to fire up the rotary dial telephone in the room. Restaurant meal with aged prime rib was outstanding. Beer/ale choices with local craft brews, were quite satisfying, as expected. The Wandsworth station across the street is handy for accessing public transit to get around London and onward.

If you are looking for a great experience, stay here. The Pub is a popular spot and the surrounding area has a few shops to visit. It’s away from the bustle of London, but is a short ride to downtown London. The rooms were quiet and had no complaints about anything. We loved to sit on the street and have a drink and feel like part of the crowd after a full day of walking London sites.

Great convenience for west, south London and central London, station is adjacent. Easy direct booking, charming reception staff. Rooms are spacious and immaculate. Based around a superb sports bar which has good range of beers and restaurant adjacent. Hotel is on Main Street which has lots of cafe and restaurant options.

Second time we’ve stayed here, between two theatre trips in London. Very comfortable beds, quiet, welcoming, unusual, huge bathroom, excellent breakfast. It’s the way to stay near London but avoiding London prices. Only 15 mins from Waterloo.

The cushion in the chair needs to be replaced as it sinks too low when one sits in the chair. The hotel staff was helpful in every way. The bus #44 which takes one to Victoria Station, is about 50 feet from the entrance to the hotel The National Express Rail has a stop directly across from the hotel.

This is our second stay at the Alma in Wandsworth. We love it here. A big thank you to the staff who are all so helpful and friendly. A special thank you to Taniesha and Ezekiel who went out of their way to help us with all of our questions and requests. The rooms are lovely and well equipped. The pub does great food and the location is perfect for us. We look forward to coming back.

What a lovely place to stay. Location was excellent. We decided to leave the car at home and took the took the train down to London. Then underground and train to the Alma. Staff at check in were lovely and we got our room immediately. It was a beautiful room, number 19, lovely big bathroom. breakfast was good also. We had dinner on one night and this also was lovely. Good hotel in a lovely area. Would recommend.

The Alma touts itself as a traditional gastro pub and boutique hotel, but has lost its way on the bar side. Last night - a Friday - the pub cranked up the music to extraordinary levels. So much so that I downloaded a decibel app, that registered 106db. It was impossible at times to have a conversation. It seems to be chasing two entirely separate types of clientele; the twentysomethings in the bar and a more relaxed, mature set for the rest of the place. It does not work. Unless you want to have a drink with ear plugs in.
