The Lanesborough, Oetker Collection

Got a time to spare before theatre and decided to try The Library Bar and as expected, was blown away by the cocktail and the service. I’m a Martini lover and decided to try Vodka Corner Martini and what a gorgeous glass of cocktail served with cocktail onion, gherkin and olives on the side and nut was served too. Was beautifully presented and service was beautiful. Thank you and we will be back

This was my wife's first trip to London. We were celebrating our anniversary and I wanted her to enjoy a relaxed and elegant experience at a great location in London. The Lanesborough exceeded our expectations.

Yesterday I experienced the Queen Charlotte afternoon tea at The Lanesborough in London. This was created in partnership with Netflix and Shondaland. The limited-edition menu pays homage to the Regency era; a time of great revelling and high style, of elegant parties, balls, and grand dinners, all with a contemporary twist. Establishment and Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Lanesborough’s has a richly decorated dining room, naturally illuminated during the day by a domed glass roof. Such a beautiful elegant room. There was no pianist or any music, so you could easily hear your other companions. Level of Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately I just wasn’t impressed by the level of service we received. I have given it a 3 for average but for this level of establishment it was quite poor. The attention to detail certainly wasn’t there, I had to look around and wait to find a server near by to get tea replenishments etc. The one positive was we certainly didn’t feel rushed! Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The sandwiches were most enjoyable, and again I liked the different varieties of bread. As we didn’t have the salmon we were asked which additional sandwich we would like. The scones I thought were doughy, I really didn’t like the texture. The jam although quite plentiful just ran straight off the spoon. The petite fours were a no for me. I completely disliked that one was to share. I am one of those people who never likes to share food and I really found this to be in very poor taste to have to deal with at afternoon tea when out with friends. The petite fours whilst pretty to look at, were just too much mess and fluff. Tea and Tea Ware ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Being in such a fabulous Georgian dining room plain white cups, saucers and plates seemed a little boring, but I really liked the silver teapots, milk jugs and sugar bowls. Value for money ⭐️⭐️ This afternoon tea was priced at just £80. In my honest opinion, spend the extra £5 and take afternoon tea at the Ritz, that extra £5 gets you a whole different experience. I honestly felt like I was paying for the association with Bridgerton. I’m pleased I experienced this afternoon tea, but I wouldn’t return and so far it was my least favorite on this trip Overall Score ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #AfternoonteareviewsbyLindsey

We had a very pleasant experience at the Library bar. This was our first time to the bar on occasion of our son’s 20th birthday. We had a charcuterie board , fries and prawn cocktail which was amazing with soft shell crabs and we love the Dalmore sour cocktail, Gasparie Manhattan with Balvenie as base , Irish Vieux Carré with Bushmill as base Raspberry based mocktail Sandro and Georgio who attended to us was very knowledgeable and took good care of us. The ambience was perfect for a laid back classy afternoon amidst the books and old bottles ! Will surely return for the pianist and live songs

Another wonderful visit to the Library bar , service was excellent as always, food and drinks delicious. Special thank you to Efthymia and the team who managed to seat us earlier than we had booked. So many of the team deserve a mention however I don't know all their names , sorry! Efthymia always polite and a pleasure to speak to . Mickael and Angel for making us feel welcome and the bar staff who made a point of popping over to say hello ! Even managed a few minutes with lady Lilibet ! Thank you all , still remains my happy place.

The Lanesborough is like a dream. My favourite place in London BY FAR. The spa is lovely, the butler service is unmatched. The food quality in both breakfast and dinner is spectacular. And even though i am not a drinker, the wine choice is amazing

Beautiful hotel, with great staff , treated us millionaires ( we are not ). Booked for diner , food was so nice . We where not rushed at all , always made sure we where ok and if we needed anything else , helped us choose from the menu couldn’t ask for anymore ,

It is such a beautiful hotel. We had drinks at The Withdrawing Room while waiting for some friends and Marta was so nice and accommodating. Her service is impeccable! The doormen were also so kind as they welcomed us on a beautiful day. Lilibeth was also such a sweetheart!

I have travelled the world and been very lucky that I have stayed in the best hotels and eaten there. I have ordered a simple breakfast of just toast in many of these hotels. The best offer you a choice of bread and bring you a few slices,wrapped in a cloth to keep them warm. In the Lanesborough I got one slice cur in half and on a plate and that was it. Grapefruit juice was not fresh and just beginning to turn and go off. Really unimpressed at this price. As I was a guest I couldn't say anything to my host and didn't want o cause a scene.
