"A hostel created with passion. For the low price, I didn't expect much; it seemed impossible to provide decent conditions for less than half the price of a hotel. It's rare to be so pleasantly surprised! The bathroom was fine, there was a place to prepare meals, and even a TV in the room. An extension cord would be useful to easily charge your phone. Łódź is definitely worth visiting more often, even if your budget is rather tight. A very nice and safe place, I recommend it!"

"Arden Hotel has been a very comfortable and stylish base for our 10 day stay in Lodz. Close to both Piotrkowska shopping street and all the attractions at Manufaktura. Situated in a quiet, safe area, the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Secure parking is available onsite. The spacious room exceeded our expectations, comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Delicious breakfast to suit a wide range of tastes and dietary needs is definitely worthwhile. We ate at the hotel restaurant on a number of occasions; enjoying Polish cuisine served by attentive, English speaking staff: Ania and Oliwia. "

"We stayed here at the end of September. At night the temperature outside was around 10°C, and the room was extremely cold. There was no heating at all – not even radiators, which is very strange for a four-star hotel. The only option was the air conditioner blowing warm air, but it was directed straight at the bed, which was very uncomfortable, so we had to turn it off. As a result, the room simply could not be heated. In the bathroom there was a small infrared heater, but it was almost useless and didn’t really warm the space. Taking a shower and stepping out into such cold air was very unpleasant. Luckily, we stayed only one night, but we were freezing the whole time. Definitely not what you expect from a hotel of this category."

"The hostel itself looked like the photos. It was fairly clean, especially the shared bathrooms which I did not expect to be so clean. The staff was friendly and prompt. The location was convenient. I was disappointed they did not provide even basic soap and shampoo for the showers. The worst part of the stay was barely the hostel's fault, but I feel more can be done to prevent it. As other travelers have mentioned, it was extremely noisy. While the hostel did state 'quiet hours', the other guests basically ignored this. The bottom of the doors are open so noise comes in immediately. We have the option to complain to front desk, but as there is no intercom system the only way was to go back to the first floor physically to report the situation, which is a hassle when you are in bed. Perhaps there can be some reminder posters or notices in the room. Of course some noise is to be expected but running from room to room shouting and screaming, slamming the doors hard etc. is too much."

When I didn't accept the room and listed the defects, the ARROGANT woman literally said: "Come down." There's no greater DISRESPECT to me. She led me to another 3-BED ROOM. This one corresponded exactly to my paid booking. CONCLUSION: The nice rooms go to the locals, POLES, the DUMPED ROOMS to the TOURISTS, who then have to pay DOUBLE for them. BUT WHAT WAS WORST WAS THE DISRESPECT AND ARROGANCE with which I was treated at JULIA'S reception 🤢🤮"

"The hotel is generally fine, with friendly service and a very comprehensive breakfast. However, we did have a few major issues. Due to roadworks in the vicinity, we were unable to access the hotel by car on a first attempt, as the roads were closed. We were forced to carry our suitcases for several blocks, only to be informed upon arrival that if we ignored the no entry sign due to roadworks, we could have parked right in front of the hotel. This detail could have been communicated in advance to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. In addition, upon arrival we discovered that the elevator was not working, which added to the discomfort. Overall, a somewhat chaotic experience in terms of logistics."
