"The hotel is extremely dated, in need of some TLC. Good location, but noise at 1am from guests and night staff was ridiculous! The bed was not fit for purpose. Not advisable for anyone who cares about their back."

"We booked the entire Hostel for our family Christmas. We spent four nights and were a party of 11 adults and 5 children and 3 dogs. The booking process was easy and any questions we had were quickly responded to. The Hostel was ideal for us, it is centrally located in Llangollen which is a beautiful destination. The Hostel was immaculately clean and very well equipped, warm and welcoming. We cooked and eat all our meals at the Hostel and the kitchen and dining room space was homely. Jamie had decorated the Hostel for Christmas and he was available to deal with any queries and was amazingly helpful and friendly. The drying room was very useful. We could find no fault with the Hostel and would certainly recommend it for a large group of family or friends. Thanks again Jamie for everything."

"We had a room for a family which was a lovely room. Very comfortable bed, cozy welsh feel. Smelled lovely and fresh Being from North Wales but living in England the hotel had a real feeling of home. The room was cozy and warm with a double window in the mountaineous nature. I last stayed here over Christmas 7 years ago and id stay here again. The Abbey grange really is picturesque full of character and worth the money. Highly recommended."

"Great house in the centre on Llangolen, everything you need right around the corner three great sized bedrooms all with bathrooms, set of 4 floors. Lovely comfortable beds, garden overlooking the river but could use a spruce up, many stairs but didn’t bother us great stay"

"We went there with another couple and our two dogs. Very comfortable, cosy (but roomy) and very clean. The owner was lovely and the location is stunning and well centred for lots of walks. Only 5 minutes drive to LLangollen centre. The only small issues were the shower head fixture wouldn't stay up and it needs a sign on the other side of the gate as well! (We passed it the 1st time). Lovely walk from the gate up the hill and 5 minutes down the road was the entrance to a really stunning walk. The dogs were very pleased!"
