booked this hotel and break to Lisbon for my fiance's 40th birthday. Unfortunately this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Short answer is that this hotel pretty poor with some decent aspects but ultimately I would advise you to look elsewhere. Long answer: I was toying between 1 and 2 star but the decent aspects tipped me into giving 2 star in the end. But generally I would advise you avoid this place and it is not a 4 star establishment. Firstly some strong advice if you are going to book - a room upgrade to thematic or above is a must. We were in a thematic room, but visited a standard room when our hot water broke and we had to have a shower elsewhere. On the hot water subject, the receptionist was totally uninterested and took ages to find a solution so we could have a shower. Initially she was very gormless about it stating she 'didn't know what to do', taking ages to find a solution. No apology given either. The standard rooms are small and definitely not 4 star. The positives (which do also unfortunately have some negatives embedded): The hotel is in a decent location with travel links into the city centre. The menu of the day is the highlight of the hotel - €12.50 per person for 3 courses Mon - Fri and delicious restaurant quality food. Cannot argue. Drinks in the hotel bar and restaurant are excellent value for money. Wine very good quality. Roof top bar is lovely but not always staffed at the stated time of opening which is annoying. We were slightly scalded for arriving 15 min after the supposed opening time, and sitting waiting for service. Apparently it was 'unusual' for people to do this?! And no apology for the bar being opened late. Breakfast is sufficient but service very poor e.g you feel like you're a nuisance asking for things and food was not being replenished etc. Beds are very comfortable and the coffee machine in room is a great addition. Toiletries are nice and plentiful. Cleanliness acceptable throughout. However, this is where the positives end. The biggest concern we had was the customer service in the hotel. All staff members are uninterested and unfriendly and in some cases downright rude. Staff are obviously very unhappy in their jobs and hardly even saying hello to you. Service is sluggish and disinterested. Staff are poorly skilled and have no idea how to treat customers. They seem avoidant of customers, slow and unhappy. No smilies. You feel like a nuisance. There is a male staff member with piercings who is particularly gormless. For example, we arrived one morning at breakfast and there were no tables laid and seven tables used. I went to find him in the kitchen and said 'excuse me' and he did some kind of head gesture as if to say 'what'. I asked about the tables being ready and he just nodded. Another staff member stated she was 'stressed and lonely' when I challenged her about slow service and ignoring me. If it had been possible we would have rated this hotel and the experience as a zero. We found the smoke smelly room, which was dirty, and not helped by the black walls and lack of a table, couch, chairs and a bathroom that literally was part of the bedroom was not an experience anyone should have. *********** called it a “themed” room but the only theme could have been horror. When we called booking to complain they essentially said we’d have to pay for another hotel. Don’t stay here and I’ve lost confidence in booking as well

This was a wonderful place to stay while exploring Lisbon. Very comfortable rooms, a rooftop bar, fabulous breakfast and best of all the most lovely, helpful, friendly staff! Highly recommend a stay here while exploring Lisbon Sintra and Cascais.

Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, modern and clean. About a 20 min walk from main square in Lisbon but Ubers were cheap and handy. Over all I loved my stay but on the last day my toilet broke,I appreciate they couldn’t get anyone to fix it immediately but the advice from reception to use water from the sink to flush the toilet. Not a great fix in my opinion, I just think they could have found a better solution, only blemish on a nice stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. 10 min walk from the bus stop directly to the center (line 760). Also easy access to metro station to airport from 10 walk (good alternative for the metro is Uber, cost oapprox 5-10 EUR). The breakfast was also great, when we left early in the morning we got the snack boxes with us. There are also nice local restaurants nearby. Overall great value for the money.

Excellent location with easy access to the Metro for getting around Lisbon. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Appreciated the roof top bar and views across to the Castle. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Very good hotel. Extremely clean, with very nice staff. Room is very clean and comfortable and well equipped . Very good breakfast and varied. At check in time you are offered a welcome drink during your stay. Location is good and metro station at 5/6 min walk. I do recommend this hotel.

This hotel gave the impression of being basic but nevertheless clean and tidy. The room was small but adequate and, again clean and tidy. It’s reasonably well situated with the nearest metro stop being Saldaha (two stops from Entre Campos and four stops from Restauradores (Rossio Square)). Breakfast was generally good with a good choice of continental style breakfast options as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc. We did think the eggs could have been a bit warmer (but that’s mass catering for you) and it would have been useful to have had a dispenser to place used tea bags in the tea/coffee area. Pleasant if small rooftop bar area. It was a very welcome and pleasant surprise to be served a complimentary welcome drink there. However, it would have been better to have made it clear (perhaps on the back of the voucher) that the welcome drinks were limited to beer, wine, port and water. Finally, I should mention the excellent reception staff. All very pleasant but in particular Jessica was very helpful in providing local knowledge

Were unbelievably nice and accommodating on my birthday including free Prosecco and lovely well wishes. It is a very clean hotel. The breakfast was also super tasty and so I would definitely recommend!

Nous avions réservé une suite pour être bien installés et nous sommes retrouvés dans un endroit très sombre et très bruyant (1er étage sur rue avec des baies vitrées qui ferment mal). Deux jours de suite nous avons eu des serviettes de toilette trouées. Tout ceci a été signalé à l’accueil, sans grand effet. Ce n’est pas admissible pour un 4 étoiles.
