Garden Guest House

Its, fake, give me back my money. Nobody open the door. I m very angry with you. Es un hotel falso, nadie abrió la puerta. Estoy muy enojado con utedes.

It was a terrible experience for this booking. We booked this Garden Guest House in advance for one week. When we arrived at 10 pm (and raining) for checking in, they told us our booking was cancelled and no room for us. This put us in a very difficult situation and destroyed all our travel plan and cost much more. They are so no responsible and reliable. Either this hotel or ********** say sorry and give any compensation. Consumer right not protected!

Warning!! It was the worst experience of hostel I’ve had in my life. The place is completely dirty. The drywall are so thick you can hear everything from other rooms. There’s just one single electric outlet in the room. The cooktop is broken. Two bathrooms for 7 rooms. The worst part are the staff. The host is violent and rude. He has zero patience in explaining the house rules and features. He was always yelling at someone’s face. He shouts to the guests and seems to be dangerous. He asked rude questions like “what’s the problem with you?” or “did you say something?” many times and even threatened me to lock me outside and cancel my entire reservation. I’m sure this is NOT A SAFE PLACE for girls, seem the host violent behavior. Event tough the hostel is in Lisbon, the staffing don’t speak Portuguese and only English with strong accent, incomprehensible in a phone call. There is nobody in the hostel from the staffing. You have to call in a Portuguese number with the exactly time of arrival in the front door. If you have any issues with flights, he will leave you outside until next day 15:00 or later.

We had to pay extra 40 euro for late check in.

Would NOT recommend. Dirty and small rooms. Shared bathroom was also not clean. Absolutely not worth the money. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.

Very poor service with rooms ! No pest control done ! Dirty bedsheets ! Bedbugs in the property .

When I arrived at the door of Garden Guest House at 5:30pm and used the Message Property of ******* to get check-in instructions. Instead, I got a response forwarding me to another nearby property : Fortune guest house. I also got another message of failing to call me. Of course, I am using my phone from home country. I guess the property re-sold my booking to another customer, thinking that I will not show up. This is WRONG practice as I already paid for it. This is the first time I encounter this. To make this case worse, the forwarded guest house has mold in bathrooms. Although the manager is polite, and asked me to wait 10 minutes for preparing my room. He has done a lot of work to try to keep the place clean with 5 rooms.

Simple but good value for the money. Easy to ride a bike to the famous areas (bike shari n station outside the house). Room was simole but clean. You essily hear the neighbors, but thats ok. Safe neighborhood with some nice cafes and restaurants.
