"Woeful is the best description I can give Arva, Leon Spain. The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the city centre and located next to a hospital on the same grounds. On 1st impressions, it resembles a train station with limited parking available. Upon arrival mid-afternoon, the rooms hadn't been allocated causing a minor delay as someone forgot. The design of the hotel is very long with reception at one end and the furtherest room 250 mts away. If you get room 235, be prepared for a long long walk. The rooms are large and very clean and the beds are firm. The air con funtions producing adequate results with a minor hum in the background. The bathroom is more than adequate with soaps mounted on the walls. The water pressure is excellent. There are no other amenities such as tooth brush or shower cap. You can hear people out in the hallway, so a bit noisy. The room lighting is very poor at night almost requiring a torch to see your way around. The TV only has Spanish shows which seems to be standard in Spain. You would be lucky to get French, German or English channels. The evening meal was disastrous, tasteless and generally unhealthy. I am not sure if this was a one off or standard fare, but we had to exit the hotel to a large cafeteria in the next building for the evening meal. There doesn't appear to be other eating facilities near by as an alternative. The breakfast was very very basic. The team at reception were helpful as several cards for the rooms failed and had to be reprogrammed. Overall, it's Ok but an effort with very basic amenities and services."
