It was a family trip to a soccer tournament. Room rates were crazy, but to make it worse, the operations manager, Michael, at the front desk was far from helpful and kind during check-in. The bad attitude and service made the check-in experience unpleasant, taking over an hour to resolve an issue. He wanted to charge us for a no-show despite my call to make changes, which I had proof of. Long story short, people like Michael should not be dealing with customers if the hotel wants to retain them. I’ll definitely not go back to the Hyatt at Lakewood again.
