Hotel Riu Palace Tres Islas

Just returned from the most relaxing 7 nights at this hotel. A family of 2 teens, 2 middle aged and 2 elderly. Couldn't fault the hotel at all! Beautiful setting, food was good quality, plentiful and varied. Great selection for vegetarians too. The staff couldn't do enough to help us and the waiters/waitresses enjoyed banter too. We spent most days next to the pool. There are 2 pools (1 heated). They are clean and the heated pool has a ramp in to it to make it easier to get in and out. The towel changing hut is open between 8am and 1pm daily. Drinks are served by friendly waiters circulating the pool during the day. There is access to the fabulous beach on either side of the hotel; one side has steps, the other doesn't. A taxi costs approx 8 Euro to get to Corralejo which we found reasonable. We were advised by the rep not to take the bus as it is unreliable. The only 2 dislikes about the destination is the wind. I usually like a good breeze, but I suffer with asthma and the wind must have thrown dust and sand in to the air which made my asthma very bad a night time even with inhalers and I didn't sleep very well. Also, the currents in the sea are very deceptive and dangerous. My dad was dragged in to the rocks (looked like sea****) and panicked because he couldn't put his feet down, and got dragged under the water. Another tourist also had emergency attention with CPR on the beach. The Spanish don't have flags to encourage you to swim between so ask where is safe. It is windy most of the time, making the sea potentially dangerous even though it is stunning. The wind and its effects on my asthma would stop me from coming to the island again sadly which saddens me as it it really was a great destination for all ages.

Had a very enjoyable holiday.The hotel is in a wonderful position on a spectacular beach.We had a room on the 6th floor with uninterrupted views of the beach,dunes and sea.There is no lift between the 5th and 6th floors but reception checked we were ok with stairs before allocating the room.Room and hotel generally kept very clean.Shower worked very well.Tea making facilities provided.There is no dressing table or area where you can sit and dry hair,do makeup etc.Fortunately the hairdryer in the bathroom works quite well. Good choice of buffet food,lovely to have tablecloths.Plenty of sun beds available and a nice shady area available near children’s pool.Sun beds on the beach cost £9 for 2 beds and a parasol. Hotel staff are excellent and work hard to ensure you have a good holiday. Have only given 4 stars because of the situation with the birds in the restaurant.They fly in through the open doors from the terrace and perch on picture frames and peck the buffet food.They were especially prevalent around the bread,desserts and pizza preparation.We wondered why automatic doors hadn’t been installed between the restaurant and terrace.

Our 6th stay at the Riu Palace Tres Islas and didn’t disappoint. Fabulous location for a relaxing beach holiday. Staff are what make this hotel stand out, every single person goes above and beyond to make your holiday special. Sadly there are a few things that need addressing, the fire escape stairs are in poor condition and need some immediate attention, the lifts are very slow, particularly the 2 next to the staircase. As others have stated the furniture is very old, the chairs in the lounge bar are so hard and uncomfortable to sit on as the seat cushions are flat. Having said this we would certainly return, we had a lovely holiday at the Riu Palace Tres Islas. Thank you to every single member of staff for your commitment in making your guests feel valued.

Location of the Hotel perfect for relaxing and walking on the beach. The hotel is not responsible for the umbrella and sun bed in the beach (to be paid ). Furniture need to be modernized, but they are confortable. Service is appropriate for a 4* star hotel. Cleaning was ok. Show was basic and not very professional if we compare to other RIU Palace. Kitchen was really basic and repetitive , with industrial food served (frozen pizza, ect….) valid for maximum a 3* star restaurant. Crystal restaurant was nice. (very nice wines served). We where disappointed by the ALL-IN service. The ALL-IN drinks where of poor quality, using the local products , presentation was really minimal. If you pay the drinks, the presentation is perfect and quality of products ok (served at table with the original bottle). This difference need to be announced to the customer on your brochure.

Overall the cleanliness of the hotel was Excellent, how ever the restaurant was also excellent untill it came to the BIRDS STANDING and FEEDING off the buffet tables, sorry but in the UK your Restaurant would have bean shut down on the spot Great hotel & staff but we will not be returning

We have been holidaying here for 18 years and love the location on the beautiful beach. Rooms are a little outdated but very comfortable. Staff always helpful and friendly.

We have recently returned from a weeks stay here. As other reviews the hotel is a little dated but this is more than made up for by the friendly staff and the good service. The food was delicious and a great variety of choice. The beach is very clean and sea a lovely turquoise. The sun beds on the beach were 5 euros each for the day so we spent most of the time by the pool which was spotlessly clean. The evening entertainment was good and we overall had a very relaxing holiday. I would recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back again.

Staff were absolutely fantastic 👏 rooms a bit dated but nothing to complain about as they were spotless and location for us was perfect because we love the beach but the food was a big let down to be honest. I have stayed in many of buffy style hotels and to be honest this is the first one that I couldn't eat in after the 2nd night we had to go into town it was shocking. But that was our only fault with this hotel and I'm sure they will be trying to improve because I'm guessing I'll not be the only one saying it

Staff are lovely but the rooms feel dated. The all inclusive food is plentiful with a wide variety but not much seasoning. Birds are allowed to fly through the restaurant and feed from the unprotected food. Quaint but not hygienic. Would not really recommend this one.
